Dear Directors, The Prostate Awareness and Cancer Education (PACE) Race Series was founded in partnership with the Prostate Conditions Education Council and sanofi-aventis in 2002. The event was designed to increase the national awareness of prostate cancer.
With events spanning from the East Coast to the West Coast, the National PACE Race Series continues to grow. All told, the PACE Race Series reached more than 40 million people last year alone.

The 2009 PACE Race National Series ended successfully! With the addition of three races to the series, appearances by Bill Rodgers and Benji Durden, participation numbers have increased, and an increase in overall reach and marketing the 2009 Series was an enormous SUCCESS!
I want to thank you for your hard work, long nights, and huge hearts! I had the opportunity to attend a couple of the races, and it was a such a delight to meet you and see your race in its true glory.
In 2010, I will be mailing our PACE Race Media Tool Kit. The tool kit will assist you in all your media needs, contains PACE information, press release templates, a race recap template, and many more tools for you.
I will also be launching a new element for the PACE Race Series in early 2010. If your race registration site (Active, Get Me Registered,etc...) has the ability to add on a TEAM registration component, I will be reaching out to you about adding a PACE Team component. Please watch for more details soon.

2010- New Beginning!

As the 2009 series has come to an end, preparation for 2010 is underway. To help me make next year bigger and better, your feedback is needed. As each race is a unique event, it is my goal to capitalize on the strengths of each race within the series. I am speaking with each event coordinator to discus goals for your 2010 PACE Race. We will schedule groups calls to offer help in reaching your goals, to discuss how the PACE Race Community can find news ways to grow, and how we can reach out to the community and connect with them on a whole new level. 2010, will bring new and exciting projects and better ways to reach out and save lives.
As always, I am eager to receive your official 2010 race date and name as soon as possible! Please also be sure to email your thoughts, feedback and suggestions on how we can make your race and the PACE Race Series an even larger national success!
