Greetings!
I hope this year is off to a good start for you and that this year turns out better for everyone than last year.
My heart goes out to all those who have been impacted by the earthquake in Haiti and to all their loved ones as well.
We're finally getting more rain here in southern California. While it's not fun to drive in, we really need it, so I hope it keeps up for a while.
Leroy Thomas was in exceptional form at Sidney's last dance. Man, he was FANTASTIC! Great showmanship, amazing riffs on accordion, about 150 in attendance, and everyone was on a Zydeco High. What a fun evening! Thank you to Otis Alexander for bringing me the HUGE birthday cake. Maybe part of that high was a sugar high? Anyway, those who didn't make it really missed out.
I just finished doing a 10 day road show at a local Costco store. 11 hours a day on my feet on concrete. (Anyone want an amazing massage chair? Check out www.humantouch.com then call me!) I'm a bit pooped, so this is going to be short. Will get out a more extensive newsletter when I'm rested up a bit.

worn hardwood floors in the back room bear the scars of many a boot
heel and the place has a laid back feeling that lets you know you can

If you don't manage to register before the first class, that's OK. Show up and register at first class. You must pay for the entire series by the first class, though. There is a minimum enrollment requirement. If enrollment is below that number, class will be canceled for the series, so if you're interested, be sure to show up for the first class!
If this goes well, I'll add more sections in the future. I'm hoping to have a large enough response so eventually I'll able to schedule some Intermediate/Advanced classes at my studio.
