As you are probably already aware, there have been quite a few technology changes going on here at The TrE' (that's Trinity East)! The Trinity East Website Receives a Facelift!
The new & improved Trinity East website is up and running! We are adding new information and functionality daily. On the new website, you can:
- Pay your tithes, offerings, and make other financial contributions, online, with your debit and credit cards and checking accounts, using our "online giving" feature!
- Search and stay informed of church related events, using our new interactive church calendar,
- Sign on and blog on the newly released Trinity East Blog Site
- Access our online church database to review you contributions, get contact information for other Trinity East members, sign up for ministry's and church events, etc.
- Sing on and post community and Trinity East specific announcements,
- Access and download audio sermons (COMING SOON),
- and, so MUCH MORE!

 The Church Database is Now Online!
The new Trinity East membership database is now online!
The church database is church software application designed to leverage the power of the internet to manage membership, contributions, ministries, events and education (i.e. Sunday School, Bible Studies, etc.).
The new database is web-based and utilizes the power of the Internet. As a result, all you need, as staff, ministry leader, or member, is an Internet Explorer browser and an Internet connection.
Some of the features include the ability to:
- Membership
- Access family and individual membership records
- Easily add/update basic family membership information
- Set privacy settings for each family and individual
- Setup emergency medical information
- Upload family and individual photos
- Affiliate a child with multiple families
- Permit member login with password retrieval by email
- Generate customized contribution statements
Calendar & Events
- Add events to the event calendar with recurring definitions
- Review the event calendar with Multiple display options
- Create parent events with sub-events
- Record attendance by event
- Search events by event name, description, and notes fields
- Schedule resources (i.e. people, rooms, and equipment)
Stewardship/Contributions
- Process credit card and echeck transactions using church merchant account
- Email confirmation of transactions
- Process automatic recurring transactions
Ministry & Group Management
- Manage Ministries, Organizations, Committees, Staff, and other groups
- Offer online ministry sign-up
- Review volunteer & ministry history
- eGroups and Umbrella eGroups based upon group membership

 The Interactive, Web-Based Church Calendar
All of the church events and functions should already be included in the online calendar, from our January 11th planning meeting. To review existing events, you may visit: www.trinityeastumc.org, and from there you can add new events (email webmaster@trinityeastumc.net for your username and password), update your events, send reminders to yourself and others, export events and ministry calendars to your PDAs and other applications like Outlook and Google. NOTE: Unfortunately, you will not be able to update events previously entered, but in your review, if you find any errors in any of your ministry events, please email Edith Selgary ( eselgary@trinityeastumc.net) with the corrections/changes that need to be made. Online Tutorials:
- Basic Navigation - This demonstration shows how to navigate through the TEUMC Calendars (Length/Size: 2:17/1.5MB)
- Event Add & Edit- This demonstration shows the basic steps to add an Event to a calendar, edit existing events, and delete events. (Length/Size: 3:21/2.1 MB)
- Recurrence and Exceptions- This Tutorial shows how to create events with various kinds of Recurrence options. (Length/Size: 4:16/3.5 MB)
- Resource Management - This Tutorial shows how to use the TEUMC Calendar for Room and Equipment Reservations. (Length/Size: 3:12/3.9 MB) WARNING: You do NOT have permissions to add resources to the calendar, so please disregard the 1st few minutes of the tutorial.
- Notifications and Reminders- This Tutorial shows how to send and receive EMail when Events are added to the calendar. (Length/Size: 3:52/5.1 MB)
- Synchronization Program - This Tutorial shows how to use the Connect Daily Sync program to bring events into an Outlook calendar or Palm OS PDA. (Length/Size: 3:17/3413 KB) NOTE: CLICK HERE to download the "Connect Daily Sync" program.

 The Trinity East Document, Form & Photo Gallery
Trinity East documents, forms, logos, and photos are now available for your access! Of course, we have only just begun to start populating our online libraries (documents & forms) and galleries (logos & photos), so if you need a document, form, photo or logo graphic that has not been uploaded, yet, please send an email request to webmaster@trinityeastumc.net and we will try to accommodate your request, as quickly as possible.

 Access & Download Tutorials
To help you get the most out of the new technology in place here at Trinity East, we have created tutorials and quick reference guides (QRGs) to assist you. WARNING: Some of the tutorials require sound, so make sure your computer's speaker volume is turned up!  Introducing TEUMC Technology Training Classes
We realize that a lot of new technology has been recently released here at Trinity East, so we are please to offer "TEUMC Technology Training"!
The training classes will be available both at the church, and online. Yes, that's right, for those of you who can come to the church, bring your laptops and join us in person. However, for those of you who would rather attend the training sessions from the comfort of your own home or office, you can do that too.
We will be scheduling sessions for 1 hour, each, 1 night per week, beginning the week after Easter. During the 1-hour sessions, we will be covering some of the new technology recently implemented (one topic/tool per session). And if we find the interest, we will expand the "TEUMC Technology Training" curriculum to include weekly "productivity sessions", covering Windows XP and Vista, MS Office (including, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook, and MS Publisher), and any other "basic" computer related questions you may have.
