A Million Pennies!
Please don't forget to bring your pennies into the ReStore to support our "Million Pennies" campain. Together our idle pennies (you know, the ones sitting around in a jar in your home) can add up to real money that will help Hale Aloha O Hilo Habitat for Humanity build a home with an East Hawaii family in need.
Our goal is to raise one million
pennies! So, if you have pennies lying around the house, please bring them in to the Habitat ReStore located at:
700 Manono Street in Hilo
Additionally, you can help us collect pennies by taking up a collection from work or from your classroom!

New Faces At The ReStore
As many of you know, our ReStore Manager Polly MacRoberts left us at the end of March. She is now
enjoying her new life in Maui. Although, we miss her,
we wish her all the best!
In the interim Rex Lauer is currently filling in as our
temporary ReStore Manager. Rex has been volunteering with the ReStore, consistently for the past year. We appreciate him filling in during this transition period.

Additionally, Arnold Catt has joined us in the
ReStore as a temporary employee. He has been
volunteering with the ReStore, since September
2010.
They're both doing a great job at the ReStore and we're happy to have them on board!

Mahalo For Your Kokua!
As we near the end of construction on the Kahe'e
home, we'd like to give a heartfelt "Mahalo" to all of our volunteers for sharing their time, experience and knowledge with Hale Aloha O Hilo Habitat for Humanity!
Final inspection and approval of the Kahee home
is IMMINENT. A home blessing potluck is being planned for late May.

Volunteers are continuing to build each Saturday
from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., but the need for build volunteers has been significantly reduced. If you still want to help, please consider taking a shift at our ReStore. Mahalo!
