Synopsis:

Journey to Grace, a true story, comes to us from the makers of Faith Like Potatoes.

The end of apartheid heralded a new era of hope in South Africa. A young cricket player stands up to lead, but is confronted with his own past and is left with the question "Can God ever forgive me?"

Fig Tree Rating and Review:

Faith Like Potatoes made me cry and I watched this movie expecting something equally as moving. I was not disappointed.

Frank Rautenbach's (seen in Faith Like Potatoes) portrayal of a man who has failed his country, his family and himself were scenes I will never forget. Exquisitely acted. The plot development was slow at the beginning, but in the end I appreciated that this true story hadn't been "Hollywood-ized" to make it more glamorous or exciting.

Journey to Grace contained very real and raw images from South Africa and India.  It felt a little like watching a documentary. It even shows real footage of Hanse's cricket games and his ceremony with Nelson Mandela. This is definitely not your typical feel-good, Christian movie. It might actually change you . . .
