Breast Cancer Research Updates

BCA member Laura Nikolaides will provide highlights of the research presented from this years' San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium and the American Society of Clinical Oncology.

Brighton Power of Pink:
Brighton Store in the Kenwood Towne Centre is selling a breast cancer bracelet ($48) and badge clip ($40) through October 31, 2009. Brighton will make a $5 donation for each piece of the specialty jewelry purchased to support breast cancer research and awareness. This year the BCA will be the beneficiary of the proceeds. There are limited quantities of these pieces. This offer is available while supplies last.

Biggs: Sixth Sense Program

Delhi Bigg's is having a fund raiser during the month of October to benefit local charities. Each shopper who brings a reusable shopping bag will receive a wooden token. This token is worth six cents. Shoppers will select a charity to deposit their token. The BCA is one of three charities participating in this program. Please visit Delhi Biggs and remember to bring your reusable bags and deposit your token into the BCA bin.

There is still time to join the BCA team for Lee National Denim Day

Lee Denim is inviting you to go casual for a cause and to wear jeans on Denim Day, Friday, October 2, in exchange for a $5 contribution to the fight against breast cancer. Last year more than 1 million people participated in this event, making it one of the largest, single day breast cancer fund raisers in the United States. Since its inception, Lee Denim Day has raised more than $75 million for the fight against breast cancer.
