Metropolitan Museum of Art 18th Century Sealing Wax Fountain Pen

Inspired by the collections at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the new Parisian pen is modeled after an exquisite 18th century étui design by the renowned French goldsmith Geroges-Antoine Croze. The étui was a small ornamental case originally used to hold sealing wax. Letters sealed with a wax stamp bearing the writer’s crest were especially valued at a time when correspondence was hand carried. The Parisian pen features a gold-plated brass body with a scale pattern lacquered in blue, red and green. Also available in rollerball and ballpen.
