| Performing Arts Night Tuesday, February 23 . . .
Auditions Tuesday, February 2
Yes . . .Walden Has Talent. Tuesday, February 23 at 6:30pm is the time for you to come and see for yourself. This will be a night that students in grades 3 through 12 can share their performing talents with the entire school. Students may sing, dance, play instruments or share any other talent they would like to show off on stage. This is a juried event. Students will need to audition their acts for our review committee on Tuesday, February 2 after school. The key elements that the committee is looking for is competence and preparation. The student should demonstrate that they have prepared the piece for audition, and that they have the fundamental skills. Students may sing to background tracks provided they do not have the lead vocal (Karaoke Style). We look forward to a great performing arts night. Mr. Shell |
WORLD QUEST
The Academic World Quest Team: Charles Bowles, William Davis, Grey Sebree, and Nick Mason will compete in the Louisville Academic World Quest on Saturday, Feb. 27 at Bellarmine University. The World Affairs Council of Kentucky & Southern Indiana's Academic World Quest Competition is the name for the highly successful high school competition. Schools from across the Commonwealth of Kentucky and Southern Indiana compete in order to participate in the National World Quest Competition in Washington, DC. The competition is unique. There is no other national competition that covers the same subject area. A flagship program of the World Affairs Councils of America (WACA), World Quest is a team effort, testing competitors' knowledge of international affairs, geography, history, culture, flags, sports, current events, prominent newsmakers, economics, international organizations, and more.
