Governor Beebe has proposed a 56-cent per pack increase in the
cigarette tax and a reform of the tax on smokeless tobacco to fund the
package that includes the establishment of a trauma system in Arkansas. I want to know what you think.
Do you support raising the cigarette tax and increasing the size of the state budget?
Do you support finding alternate means of funding a statewide trauma system without raising taxes. This option would be funded either through increasing fines for offenses such as drunk driving OR would mean finding money in the existing state budget.
Do you believe that Arkansas does not need a new trauma system?
