HALL OF FAME

Barbara Lee's champagne bottle in a bucket is great.

Barbi Colson

Barbi Colson has used some lovely colours to create this cheerful cake.

Carole Bunyan has cleverly taken the famous Debbie Brown ballerina cake design and made it her own by dressing the dancer in a beautiful blue.

Cathy Cowburn has sent in this lovely wedding cake for us to see.

Clinton Shaw has sent me this photo of his wife's cake.  The brush embroidery on the sides is very pretty.

I absolutely adore Geraldine Durey's cake above that depicts a retiring couple.  The detail is outstanding.

Helen Hancock's tribute to the famous Lilliput Lane models is fantastic.

Linda Hotham has produced a great bottle of bubbly for an 18th birthday.

Lisa Crawford has captured the characters of the new Toy Story perfectly.

Lorraine Griffin has used our pretty pastel flower fairies to create a lovely cake, finished off with our pink and white daisy ribbon.

Any Mother of young children will know that these little cuties are called Octonauts!  Lucy Lovell has modelled these out of brightly coloured sugarpaste available here.

Lynda McCallum's cake above is literally a 'cheeky monkey'!  This is one of 2 cakes made for twins.

Margaret Robinson has used the kneeling gardener and white ribbon with gardening tools to create this very intricate allotment cake.

Pat Whorwood has used a fairy topper for this pretty cake.  Click here for our range of fairy products. Lovely cake yet again Pat!

This is a very pretty cake by Paulette Graham using the

extra large flower blossom plunger cutter. If you haven't got time to make them, you could always use the white large sugar blossoms.  This cake is topped with the resin bible and silver goblet.  Perfect for a Holy Communion celebration.

Pauline Foster must know that I can never resist a Winnie the Pooh cake!  Look at all the cute little bees.

Sandra Milton has created a really pretty castle cake here using the pink princess as a perfect topper.

Another spectacular cake from Sharon Forbes.  I love the pillars being used for the piano legs.

Wow Shirley Clarke, this is a fun wedding cake!  A road of sugary sweets, how perfect.

PLEASE KEEP YOUR PHOTOS COMING IN BECAUSE IF YOU DON'T, WE WONT HAVE ANYTHING TO LOOK AT!

Dear Readers,

Welcome to Spring!  So much has been happening this month at CakeCraftWorld our feet have hardly touched the daffodil-filled ground.  Our cake made it to the Ideal Home Show and I hope that some of you got to the exhibition at Earls Court.  If you saw our cake, email and let me know what you thought of our design.  If you didn't, this is a picture of it with it's creators.
Lin Chow and I are very proud of what we produced and hope that you like it too.  Sadly we didn't win but congratulations to Michelle Wibowo of Sugar Art for her winning sculpture of William and Kate.  I did get to chat with the lovely Mich Turner though and she was very interested in the work we do here at CakeCraftWorld.  Next month I will be showing you some of the techniques used in creating our masterpiece so watch out for that.

With so much going on at the moment we have had to roll our Royal Wedding and Easter newsletters into one.  Below are plenty of ideas and offers for these 2 wonderful occasions and I'm sure that all of you will be able to take away at least one new idea from this month's newsletter!

You sent in lots of lovely photos last month so thank you for that and I look forward to receiving more over the next month too.

Until then, happy baking everyone.

VINTAGE TEA PARTY ANYONE?

I love these absolutely adorable sandwich and 3 tier floral cake stand in the very current vintage chic trend.  I have not stopped using them since they arrived and I have even served Annabel's friends their sandwiches on them at her latest school tea party.  I am now the most popular Mummy in the school!  They can be used over and over again, just give them a wipe over after use and store in their extra sturdy packaging.

HAVE FUN ON 29th APRIL!

These mini windmills are enough to get the wind into anyone's sails.  They are such fun and perfect for sticking into sandwiches and cupcakes on the big day.  Keep them for another party afterwards too!
NEW SPARKLING COLOURED SUGAR

I am very excited about these new sparkling coloured sugars and currently using them on EVERYTHING!  They are totally free from artificial colours or preservatives and come in these handy 15g stay fresh packs.  Available in 5 different colours, give them a try as soon as you can.

Here I have teamed up the green sparkling coloured sugar with our fantastic new Hungry Caterpillar cupcake cases and toppers.  So cute for little birthday treats and we also have matching candles too!

THE BOYS ARE BACK IN TOWN!

Another year, another whole range of beautiful Easter cake decorations.  This year, we have introduced these lovely yellow sugar pearls which are a fresh addition to any Spring cupcake and come in a range of colours. I have put them with our sitting bunnies that come in a pack of 4 or 48.

These icing chicks are an Easter favourite and perfect for decorating cupcakes or Easter eggs.  I have added a little sugar flower from our assorted pink, orange and mauve range.

Easter just wouldn't be the same without these lads and lassies!  We sell chenille chicks in all diferent sizes and singularly up to a box of 84.  Click here for the full Easter range.

If you are looking for little decorations to adorn your mini cupcakes this Easter then look no further.  These yellow chicks and white bunnies are the cutest I have seen around and are only £2.50 for 20.  I baked the cakes in our fuzzy bunny mini baking cases which make perfect teatime sized treats. As the muffins are so tiny, I used a PME rope tube No. 44 to pipe the dainty buttercream and then finished them off with a tiny flower made with a small blossom/forget me not plunger cutter.

These gorgeous metallic green and pale blue muffin cases are really funky.  I have used pink and yellow sugarpaste for the tops of these cupcakes and then cut into the pretty petal shapes with the reversible circular cutter set (a must for any cake decorator).  I think these sweet Easter circular decorations finish them off perfectly.

If you haven't tried our range of Magic Sparkles then now is the time.  In a range of gorgeous colours, they add a touch of magic to all cupcakes and treats.  This is the hint of lemon.

CAKE, COOKIES & CHOCOLATE

I thought it would make a change to decorate the top of this spring garden cake with cookies.  I used the bunny and lamb cutters to create this cute scene. The bow is made from our green ribbon with white daisies.

Another pretty addition to our cupcake collection are these flat chocolate butterflies in pink, yellow & lilac. Ideal for chocolate cakes, desserts and cupcakes.
