Dear Friends,

It always comes as a shock when summer is over and it's time to get back in gear for another school year - starting fresh, with new teachers, new students, and for some, new schools. It helps to remember, as school starts and everyone eases back into the work flow, that the summer break didn't actually erase everything you've ever learned! In any case, September is a time for review.

As you may know, we regularly focus on a different Keats title to let those of you who love The Snowy Day know about other books of Ezra's to enjoy. This month we are offering a back-to-school special: We're turning the spotlight on Pet Show!, a lively story with an entertaining twist - and debuting a new game based on the book, Pet Show Shuffle!

We're happy to have you all back. Enjoy!

Sincerely,

Deborah Pope

"The Snowy Day and the Art of Ezra Jack Keats"

After a successful summer at the
Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art in Amherst, Massachusetts, the Keats retrospective closes on
October 14 and travels to the
Contemporary Jewish Museum in San Francisco, where it will run from
November 15 to February 24, 2013.
Then it's on to the
Akron Art Museum
in Ohio (March 16-June 30, 2013). We'll keep you posted on any additions to Ezra's cross-country itinerary!
