Dear Friends,

     For us, 2012 is a year of anniversaries and also a year of firsts. For example, the EJK Book Award ceremony has been a springtime event since 1986, but this year, for the first time, it was hosted by the de Grummond Collection in Mississippi. (See highlights of this wonderful event on our website.) And this month, the 26th annual EJK Bookmaking awards take place for the first time at the Brooklyn Public Library, where the winners and their families attending the ceremony can proudly see their books on display.
     We're happy to be working with the Brooklyn Public Library, which joins the New York City Department of Education as our partner in this program, of which we're so proud.      I hope to see our neighbors at the Library's Central Branch enjoying the exhibition of handmade books and special events!
