***Annie will be at Helix on Racine in downtown Chicago this Sunday, February 15th, speaking at 1:00PM on Visions of the Sea***
I looked at the calendar today and laughed, Friday the 13th! I think of all the superstitions and old paradigms we live our daily lives by and do not even realize that we make them all up! About 100 years ago the Greeks made up a phobia and fear surrounding Friday the 13 and called it paraskavedekatriaphobia! How many fears from your past do you have lurking around your mind? Today we are in the recording studio laying down the audio track to a film we will be premiering at The Our World Underwater Film Festival next Saturday night and I am so grateful to be able to use my creativity combined with electronics to do this! During the past eight months, we have had five computer or hard drive crashes and a website lose everything. I could teach classes about what to do in computer emergencies when you think you have lost everything! For awhile, I kept thinking my lesson was, "Back it up!" Yet, I now know this story is not about computers crashing, it is about shattering paradigms. Read More. | |

Fish think that School is Cool, do you know why? Many fish school for protection, they continually work their ways into the center of the school as they swim round and round and round because they do not want to be on the outside where they are the most vulnerable. You can get dizzy as you watch them. Schools of fish can be made up of fish that just hang out together, or they can be highly organized schools of fish. They barely swim a "fins" length away from one another. They seem to move at the same speed and in unison. Watch the video to check out this school of jacks! |

With a crowd of dedicated supporters and volunteers watching, Ginger returned home to Sarasota Bay on Monday after successful treatment at Mote Marine Laboratory's Dolphin and Whale Hospital.
Ginger, the bottlenose dolphin that stranded Dec. 16, 2008, on Siesta Key, was released back to her home waters just after 8:30 a.m. The dolphin submerged after being released from the sling that had been used to carry her to the water behind Mote's main Lab building on City Island then thrilled the crowd with four giant leaps.
"It was so great to see," said Bijli Myers of Siesta Key, who was among the first to find Ginger when she stranded on the beach back in December. "It was like redemption - here was something that was so sick and dying. It was so great to see her come to life again. It felt like good Karma."Come See.
