logobuttonThis morning I was listening to itunes and a song came on, I don't know the artist but I can still hear the words: "I just found out there is no such thing as the real world." And I had to laugh out loud because there are so many times I feel as if I am caught between two worlds while living a few different lives simultaneously!

Yesterday, I spent my morning and afternoon speaking to an elementary school, one dressed up as Ocean Annie with wetsuit, mask, fins and another in my street clothes talking to older kids. If I can't be in the Ocean, the second best place is sharing it with more than 500 children. Kids are so smart and I am blown away by what they know. When I speak with them, I have confidence in our future, we will not have to go and live on the moon to convert moon dust into water but that we might be able to travel there on a holiday.

And that is exactly what I encourage everyone to do, to dream and use their imagination on what kind of world we want to create. I am a total believer that we create our lives and live within our creation. We have the ability to create a new direction and feel that the viz continues to clear up as other people embrace hope in the future without ignoring the work we need to do right now. cool scientistMaria Brown is helping to save our oceans! Her job as the superintendent of the Farallones National Marine Sanctuary involves being in nature all the time, so of course she wants to protect it. She has been recognized for her hard work and wants others, like those in the Beach Watch volunteer program, to follow in her footsteps.

camera coachOh noooooo!!! All my clips are offline!! What? Why? How? Oh ya, this is going to happen to you, especially if you use external hard drives, share computers, reorganize, move clips.....edit. There seem to be countless ways of severing the connections of your media. One thing I have noticed, is that most beginning editors figure out how to reconnect media before ever understanding how or why it got unconnected. Perhaps I can explain.
