My Strength and Core Exercise Class at the Arlington United Methodist Church is well under way. I have about 2-4 regulars, but we have this great BIG, air-conditioned space and I want to fill it up! So this is your reminder....
 
Class is currently on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-7 PM.
Is the time too early? Let me know and I can shift it. I can also offer a new class on another day/time if I can get about 4-5 others to participate.
 
The class is moderate intensity. Do you need something less intense? I can design a class to meet your needs. For example, I can do a Senior Strength and Stretching class, a Pre/Post-Natal Class, Pilates, etc. And if you need something more vigorous, I can design a boot camp or kettlebell class.
 
In the meantime, here are the details on the current class:
  • The only equipment needed is a mat and set of 5-pound dumbbells. The routine changes every class. Here's a taste of what we do:
1-leg balance with Roman Deadlift
Isolated V-sit with Dumbbell Pec Fly
Dumbbell Lat Pullover with legs at high diagonal
Concentration Curl while in Sumo Squat
Single Leg Squat
Pushups: Wide, triangle and close grip
Planks

  • Cost is $15/walk-in and $12/class if you buy a monthly pass (8 classes for $96).
  • There is plenty of parking.
  • Address is 716 South Glebe Rd Arlington, VA 22202 (between Route 50 and Columbia Pike)
  • A portion of the income goes back to the church.
