Personal Umbrella Policy
Protecting You from Life's Storms
A personal umbrella policy provides a large additional layer of liability coverage over what you already have from your auto, homeowners or boat policies.
* Do you own and operate a vehicle?
* Do you own a home?
* Do you have a swimming pool or pond?
* Do you own a pet?
* Do you own a boat, Jet Ski, snowmobile or ATV?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you should consider purchasing a Personal Umbrella Policy. Each of these circumstances provides ample opportunity for property damage and personal injury - the basis of many lawsuits. High medical costs and an ever-increasing cost of living are driving settlements into thousands and sometimes millions of dollars. These amounts could exceed your primary Homeowners and Auto insurance coverage. A Personal Umbrella Policy provides the extra coverage you need at an affordable price.
Call us for more information on how a Personal Umbrella Policy could protect you from one of life's storms.

| Go Green!
Although insurance contracts contain a multitude of paper, our insurance companies continue to find ways to reduce paper, waste, and conserve printing and processing resources. Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) is a convenient way to pay your bill. EFT pay plans have lower or no service charges and no postage, thereby saving you money. They also give you peace of mind, knowing your payment will be made on time. E-billing is another paperless option which is environmentally friendly.
Please let us know if you are interested in signing up for any of these options. |

Ask Anne Frequently Asked Insurance Questions
Q. Should I continue to carry physical damage coverage on my older vehicle?
A. One rule of thumb to consider is the vehicle's remaining useful life. Multiply the number of years by the annual premium for the "other than a collision" and "collision" coverage premiums. Compare that to how much you will receive for a total loss. (To get an idea of the value of your vehicle should it be involved in a total loss, check out www.kbb.com). Is it worth it to continue paying that part of the premium? While this is totally subjective, consider your peace of mind. Even a low valued vehicle is worth insuring if it is your sole means of transportation, and the amount your insurance would pay would be enough to get you another vehicle to meet your needs.

Health Care Reform Update With the enactment of the Affordable Health Care Act, significant changes to the health care and health insurance industries will be implemented over the next several years. Each quarter in the Homer Yost Herald, we'll answer a question relating to health care reform to help you understand the various changes brought on by the new legislation. Q. Is it true that restaurants will now be required to disclose the caloric content of the foods they serve? A. YES, beginning in 2012, in an attempt to help prevent chronic disease and improve public health, all chain restaurants and food establishments with 20 or more locations will be required to list caloric content for food menu items, including soft drinks and other beverages. These food establishments will be required to provide calorie information as well as a statement about suggested caloric intake to help you put the calories into perspective. Other nutritional information, such as sodium, fat, protein and fiber content, must be made available in writing at the customer's request. For more information, log onto www.healthcare.gov or contact your health care plan administrator. |
