Des Moines, IA - July 16th, 2010 -
The chief executive
officer and chairman of the board for the Knights of Columbus, Supreme Knight
Carl A. Anderson, will be the guest on Friday, July 16 on the weekly radio
show, "In the Heartland With Bishop Pates" hosted by Des Moines Bishop Richard
Pates. Mr. Anderson will appear on the program, which airs live at 10 a.m.
Central Time on KWKY 1150 AM out of Des Moines and KVSS 102.7 FM out of Omaha, by
telephone for a discussion on his books and how the message of Our Lady of
Guadalupe continues to shape culture and the Catholic faith.
Carl
Anderson's most recent book is Our Lady of Guadalupe:
Mother of the Civilization of Love, co-authored with Msgr. Eduardo Chavez Sanchez.
He is also the co-author of Called to
Love: Approaching John Paul II's Theology of the Body, and is the author of
the New York Times bestseller A Civilization of Love: What Every Catholic
Can Do to Transform the World.
Mr. Anderson has an
extensive and distinguished career in education and public service as well,
including numerous roles in the Executive Office of the President of the Unites States,
and papal appointments for both Pope John Paul II and Pope Benedict XVI. Bishop
Pates began broadcasting his radio program in May of 2009 and has welcomed
local, national and international figures and dignitaries to discuss the
Catholic faith and current issues.

and www.kvss.com, and will be replayed on KWKY the following day, July 17, at noon.

Knights of Columbus
The Knights of Columbus is the world's largest lay Catholic
organization, with 1.8 million members around the world. The order was
founded in 1882 by Father Michael J. McGivney at St. Mary's Church in
New Haven, Connecticut.
The Knights was formed to render financial aid to members and their
families. Mutual aid and assistance are offered to sick, disabled and
needy members and their families. Social and intellectual fellowship is
promoted among members and their families through educational,
charitable, religious, social welfare, war relief and public relief
