Fr. Emil Kapaun, A Wichita Diocesan Priest who served as an Army Chaplain during the Korean War and died in a Korean POW camp, will be the topic of part of the segment on ABC's 20/20 on Friday night, April 2nd at 9:00 pm CDT. The show that evening will focus on Saints and Miracles.
The Diocese of Wichita and the Vatican have begun the formal process that could lead to Father Kapaun's canonization. In 1993, it was announced that Fr. Kapaun would receive the title of "Servant of God".
Fr. John Hotze, the postulator for the cause, is currently studying a miracle attributed to Fr. Kapaun.The 20/20 Show will touch on this alleged miracle as well.
