Restoring Respect for God's Law

Project Moses Greetings Brother Knights:
Many of you responded positively to the presentation over the week-end regarding Project Moses; the initiative to place 10 Commandments and/or Beatitude plaques into the homes of our parish communities and especially our families. For a quick overview click project components to see information and details.

It should be obvious that we cannot count on the government to be our moral guiding light. We must first impress God's Law upon our hearts and upon the hearts of our children. As we read in Deuteronomy 6 "...write them on the doorframes of your houses ..."
Project Moses Plaques in Gaspers House
District Meetings10 Commandments

When you bring up Project Moses at your District Meeting focus on the placement of plaques into as many parish households as possible.

Don't forget that the plaques are not for sale. The council is asking for a donation and suggesting a premium of $30 for each plaque; some will give more to your project. Encourage your councils to make plans to help every family take advantage of this opportunity to proudly display God's Law in their homes!

Contact PSD Michael Gaspers 712-490-2809 or kofc@longlines.com to arrange for plaques to be at your district meeting. A complete guide may be found on the Iowa Website by clicking here on Project Moses (this is a large pdf file).

Yoy may also contact Project Moses directly at 888-667-3710 to order plaques (1 for $30 or 2 for $50 which includes shipping) and other informational material.

Don't forget Monuments! 10 Commandment Monument
Not only is our goal to place as many plaques in homes as we can; we also want to place a a physical reminder of our commitment to God's Law in front of our Churches, Courthouses or in our Parks.

Find out more at the Project Moses website or download a comprehensive "How to Guide" from the Iowa KofC website.

Our State goal is to place a monument in every County Seat community - that's 99 reminders of God's plan for our happiness in all areas of our state.

So far District Deputies are indicating interest in pursuing this in about a third of our Iowa districts.
