Team Fisher House Fundraiser

$1,395 in donations!

From Kristina's TFH Fundraising Campaign Page www.active.com/donate/TeamFisherHouse/Kristina

Thank you so much for visiting my webpage and for your consideration in contributing to the Fisher House. I hope you will have compassion for our men and women in uniform and help me raise money for them and their families in their time of need.

I have been running to raise money and awareness for this awesome charity. I started with the Long Beach Half Marathon in October and am getting ready for the Huntington Beach Full Marathon in February 2011 and will end with the San Francisco half marathon in July 2011.

I will be running with our military in mind, with all they do every day, this is the least I can do to help them with their recovery and help their families that sacrifice so much so we can have so much. This is really a great charity, they provide comfort homes all over the US and the world, wherever there is a military base, so that family members of our hospitalized military can be close for support during their recovery.

We have all been sick or in pain at some point in our life and have been lucky enough to be in the comfort of our own home with family close at hand. Many of our military are far from home and without family. The Fisher House Foundation makes sure they don't have to be alone during their recovery, they provide a free place for family members to stay, while their loved ones recover, ensuring that they have family support. It's the least I can do, I hope you will agree and help me reach and hopefully exceed my fundraising goal!

If you would like to become a fundraiser for Fisher House through the Team Fisher House Program, visit our website at www.TeamFisherHouse.org  You will have your own online fundraising campaign page like Kristina's to help you raise funds and awareness for Fisher House Foundation.

Upon registration, I will send you a Team Fisher House shirt like the one Kristina is wearing in the photo above.  You will also have the opportunity to earn fundraising incentive gifts at $500 in fundraising!

The 2011 Ranger Run for Fort Hood Fisher House will kick off at 10:30 a.m. April 2, 2011 at Brazos Valley Veterans Memorial Park. Previously known as the Combat 5K, the 2011 Ranger Run for Fort Hood Fisher House provides three different participation opportunities: A one-mile Family Fun Run, a 5K and a 10K. This year's event proceeds will be donated to the Fort Hood Fisher House at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center; as well as help support the construction of a new Fisher House at the Audie L. Murphy VA Hospital in San Antonio, Texas, with assistance from local defense contractor, BMI Defense Systems.

The Ranger Run will feature military vehicles such as the M1 Abrams Battle Tank and ญญญญ the Bradley Fighting Vehicle, along with thirty soldiers from Fort Hood, an Apache Helicopter from Conroe, the Aggie Band, Reveille Corporal, Corps Yell Leaders, the Fish Drill Team, and the General Ramirez, Commandant of the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets. There will be photograph opportunities with Reveille; as well as General Ramirez. Preregistration for the 5K and 10K is $20/participant; and includes a runner t-shirt and finisher's coin. Bill O'Reilly

Bill O'Reilly:

One of the most heartbreaking things for me when I visit wounded troops is seeing their families try to cope with their injuries. As you may remember Colonel Hunt, Geraldo and I went to Walter Reed hospital last December and there were scores of little kids in the hospital because that's where their dads and moms were.

I can't tell you how painful it is for the families of our wounded service people to watch the life-altering situation their loved ones are in.

So after consulting with President Obama we have decided to help the Fisher House charity. This fine organization provides housing and other benefits for the families of our wounded warriors the feds cannot afford to house the families so we must do it.

Therefore, we are offering this historical document my notes from the recent presidential interview in return for donation to Fisher House. President Obama signed the original copy and I will sign all of the ones that we are making available so you'll get my original signature and President Obama's facsimile.

The donation is $500. It is tax deductible. I know it's a heavy cost but we are hoping to raise an enormous amount of money to help the families of our severely wounded military people.

So if you go to BillOReilly.com, we have a link to the Fisher House. It's easy - you just click on over there and they will handle the rest.

Again this is a unique piece of history and it will provide a great amount of relief to our wounded military people and their families.

By the way one of the reasons that I continue to do The Factor is because I can do things like this with your help we can make life easier for those who are suffering after protecting us. So please check it out and I thank you in advance.
