 Texas A&M Corps of Cadets Rudder's Rangers Will Host Ranger Run Benefiting Fort Hood Fisher House The 2011 Ranger Run for Fort Hood Fisher House will kick off at 10:30 a.m. April 2, 2011 at Brazos Valley Veterans Memorial Park. Previously known as the Combat 5K, the 2011 Ranger Run for Fort Hood Fisher House provides three different participation opportunities: A one-mile Family Fun Run, a 5K and a 10K. This year's event proceeds will be donated to the Fort Hood Fisher House at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center; as well as help support the construction of a new Fisher House at the Audie L. Murphy VA Hospital in San Antonio, Texas, with assistance from local defense contractor, BMI Defense Systems. The Ranger Run will feature military vehicles such as the M1 Abrams Battle Tank and ญญญญ the Bradley Fighting Vehicle, along with thirty soldiers from Fort Hood, an Apache Helicopter from Conroe, the Aggie Band, Reveille Corporal, Corps Yell Leaders, the Fish Drill Team, and the General Ramirez, Commandant of the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets. There will be photograph opportunities with Reveille; as well as General Ramirez. Preregistration for the 5K and 10K is $20/participant; and includes a runner t-shirt and finisher's coin. For the Family Fun Run, the fee is $20/family and will include a bib with the respective family name.
