 Sualauvi Tuimalealiifano wheels up to the front door of the two-story building on the bustling campus of the James A. Haley Veteran's Hospital with a smile on his face. Despite being paralyzed after falling off the back of a truck during a firefight in southern Afghanistan, despite the surgeries and the pain and the complete upheaval of his life, Tuimalealiifano, 31, is beaming as he arrives here at the Fisher House after a rigorous day of rehabilitation. April is the Month of the Military Child and we want to recognize one special military child today. Eric C., whose family is currently stationed in Japan, decided that instead of getting presents for his 10th birthday he wanted to give back, asking for donations to Fisher House instead! Thanks Eric! You and your friends are inspiring!

| House Round Up -
Walter Reed National Military Medical Center |
 With the expansion of the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC) in Bethesda, MD and the construction of the National Intrepid Center of Excellence (NICoE), the Fisher House Foundation is taking on its largest commitment ever - building three Fisher Houses adjacent to the NICoE. The NICoE will be the military medical facility dedicated to the research, diagnosis, and treatment of military personnel suffering from traumatic brain injury (TBI) and psychological health issues (PTSD).
The demand for these services is expected to be very high and Fisher House Foundation is surging the resources of the entire organization in an effort to triple their current capacity in support of this need. Fisher House Foundation is moving quickly with site preparation currently underway - and a potential dedication of one of the three houses before the end of the year.

It is with great pride that we welcome you to our redesigned Fisher House print magazine, aptly titled The Patriot. This name is especially fitting because our founders, Zachary and Elizabeth Fisher, truly defined the word. They taught all with whom they came into contact that being a patriot was not just having a love of one's country, but also giving back to it.

| About Team Fisher House |
Team Fisher House is the online grassroots fundraising program of Fisher House Foundation. The program enables participants to become "Champions for Military Families" through community or Team Fisher House events, or by hosting events of their own. The Team Fisher House program uses customizable internet-based campaigns to make fundraising for Fisher House easy, fun and rewarding.
