prayerPrayer Requests and Praise Reports!

Pray for the Lord's word to penetrate the hearts of our beneficiaries, to change their lives from the inside out.

Prayer for all of our summer teams coming - safety, fellowship and mostly for an amazing spiritual impact!

Praise report for LisaMarie, one of our full-time missionaries - she will be coming to Ecuador this fall to start her language training!  We are so excited for her!  Continue to pray for her as she gets ready to hit the mission field!

Praise report - we have hired our new social worker, Carmen, and are thrilled to have her on board.  Please pray for her as she learns the ropes and ministers to our beneficiaries through her gifts and talents as a social worker.

Pray for the board of Pan de Vida and our volunteers that we may honor the Lord with our obedience to His will and work at Pan de Vida.

Pray for consistant, God-fearing volunteers to work at Pan de Vida in our programs.

Oscar and Pan de Vida KidsDear Pan de Vida Partners,

Matthew 9 tells us the story of the paralytic who came to Christ to be healed, yet he received something far more valuable than just a physical healing - his sins were forgiven!  The gift only Jesus Christ can give us.  It is when our heart is healed from sin that we can truly walk in the freedom and joy that God created us to be in!

In this newsletter you will read about Emma, a woman who found this peace in an unexpected way.  Our ministry could not continue to reach people like Emma without your continued financial support, prayers, and volunteer work!  We appreciate you and hope you will consider continuing to partner with us to reach the poor of Quito!

Meeting A Deeper Need

Emma at Pan de Vida

Emma was passing by Pan de Vida on a Wednesday evening with aching knees.  When she saw the line of people she thought that this just might be a medical clinic that could help her

She entered Pan de Vida and asked one of our volunteers, "Is this a medical clinic?"  To which he gave her a warm welcome and invited her to come in.  She came expecting to see a doctor, but soon found herself with tears streaming down her face as she listened to the gospel being preached and the worship being sung.

She came because of a physical need but God knew she had yet a much deeper need - spiritual healing and forgiveness of sins.

She returned to Pan de Vida a few times more and we are pleased to report that this past Sunday she gave her life to the Lord. The picture below shows her (in the brown sweater) in the discipleship group after the alter call on Sunday!

Pan de Vida Kids Go To The Farm!

Kid's Club at the Farm!

In March we took the kids club to visit a hacienda (farm) owned by a university in Quito. They saw different things like how to raise animals and how to make yogurt, but more importantly they saw what you could do in college! We love giving these children hope and helping them expand their horizons and they love to learn!

Happy 10 Years Pan de Vida!!!

A typical home setting of our beneficiaries

February 4th marked 10 years of ministry at Pan de Vida!

Every year it is amazing to look back and reflect on the great things God has done and how far He has brought us. Ten years later we are just as excited, if not more, to continue to serve in this ministry knowing that God still has many more plans!    As donors, partners, volunteers, and prayer warriors -  you are a big part of this celebration.  We plan to have a formal event to celebrate this coming October.  Stay tuned for more details!
