Greetings!

Thanksgiving is a "Thank You" Celebration for the harvest of labor.  In its origination in 1621, a day of thanks giving was shared by all neighbors!  The Pilgrims held the celebration for the "leaders" of the Wampanoag Indian tribe in appreciation for them extending the kindness and hospitality in the teaching them the survival skills needed to make it the "New World".

We too can relate to this even in our "Current World", as all of us find ourselves grateful to those that have extended their time, kindness and graciousness in helping us with everyday survival skills or personal or professional skills that have make us successful as a parent, spouse, employee, business owner or otherwise.

Take the time this year to "give thanks" to those that have given you more than you ever expected to get or give back to them by paying it forward in "thanks giving"!

Self Management Tip
Self-management is about knowing what to do at any given moment.

Begin to look at the day as a series of opportunities for thankfulness rather than obligations to a calendar.

Expressing gratitude for the values that shape our relationships, or careers, and our lives is one step in "taking possession" of those values and making them a clear and conscious part of our approach to life.
