The winter in Lexington had been a busy one and not just because of the weather making every chore take twice as long as we are used to.  What started out as personal instruction for exercising to individual clients, developed in bi-weekly longing clinics for Lexington Sport-Horse owners, either at our facility or off-site.

The longing sessions are an integral part of in-house training programs and are used to support the Young Horse, Dressage and Driving Programs.  

The clinics are offered to all-breed/all discipline horses and only "guest-horses" are invited and used so that horse owners have an opportunity to see how their horses can initially respond to the change of tactics we apply: same efforts, better results. And to be able to continue your horses' development while we can be dressed in Polar Outfit, well, that is just good stuff.

At the end of every clinic, upon request (and it is always requested) is  to exhibit one of the Friesian horses in our training program. Many attendees have never seen a Friesian horse on "touching" distance and mostly are impressed of how agile and powerful they move.

The attitude and appearance usually differs from what sporthorse owners have in mind when they think of a 'Fancy Friesian'. One attendee of a clinic has purchased her first Friesian gelding and several other are highly interested in the Friesian as their next sports-mount.

I never knew there was so much to fitting a saddle correctly. He was very thorough, not only fitting the saddle to my mare but also making sure it was comfortable and supportive for me.
