OUR ROYAL DAY - Fryslan Valley Sport Horses was pleased
to accept the invitation to exhibit Friesian Stallion,
Ike, wned by Mitzi Dotson, Versailles, KY to HRH Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein, President of the FEI for a private occasion held at Gainesborough/Darley Stud in Versailles, KY on Tuesday, October 5, 2010.
Princess Haya an accomplished equestrian in her own right, took the reins with direction from Arnold Warmels, and drove like a seasoned professional!
We were pleased and quite humbled to have this extraordinary
experience to again promote the sport of driving, and the
Friesian horse.

Fryslan Valley Sport Horses - Keuring 2010
Springfield, OH
Champion & Reserve Champion Geldings at the Ohio Keuring!
Willem, owned by Carla Benton of Punta Gorda, FL and Poet of Meadowcove, owned by Susannah Poe of Fairmont, WV were awarded Ster and crowned Champion & Reserve Champion Geldigns at the Springfield, OH Keuring on Friday, October 3.
The" Keuring" is a breed inspection where horses are evaluated
against the standard set by the Koninklijke Friesch Paarden Stamboek (KFPS). The goal of a keuring is to determine how the presented
horses can influence the quality of the breed and how they score
in the search of the ideal Friesian Horse as directed by the breed
registry.
Thank you to all of our owners who attended the Keuring and for most, a first time experience. We were very proud of all of the horses by Fryslan Valley.

Thank you to everyone who voted me onto the IFSHA Board of Directors. I look forward to serving as a member of the Board and bringing forth open communication to continue the betterment of the Friesian Horse in America.

Fryslan Valley Sport Horses Proud to Host IDEAL Harness & Gerard Paagman & Crew
Latest news from Ideal Harness: American Driving Society Intermediate Championship 2010 - Gerard Paagman Horse Team Champion! And with our four-in-hand Friesian Horses Gerard participated in the inaugural year of the American Driving Society Intermediate Championships. It was really exciting to see so many competitors at the Intermediate Level. This year, there were 46 single pony competitors, 45 single horses, 19 pairs of ponies, 13 pairs of horses, 1 tandem pony, 2 pony teams, 6 horse teams, and 4 VSEs.
The American Driving Society announced the champions and reserve champions of 2010: Gerard Paagman (owner of Ideal Harness) became champion with his four-in-hand Friesian horses!
During the World Equestrian Games, Fryslan Valley Sport Horses & Fairwinds Farm, Lexington, KY were please to host Gerard, his lovely wife, Caio, team members Lisette, Jan, and Fabio.

ATTENTION PART-BRED FRIESIAN OWNERS
IFSHA Wants Your Participation!

I had the great opportunity to work at the FHANA/KFPS booth during the World Equestrian Games and had a fantastic time meeting some wonderful owners from all over the country, and also met many owners who compete with their part-bred Friesian.
I wanted to emphasize to those part-bred Friesian owners that their participation is greatly appreciated at IFSHA Sanctioned Events across the country.
Our goal is to provide a Rated Show Circuit with rules and regulations to protect the Horses while providing a fair and enjoyable playing field. We will promote IFSHA activities by offering a Year End Awards Program and recognition for Friesians that excel in open competition, as well as junior equitation, english pleasure (saddle seat, hunt seat), costume, western pleasure, halter, dressage, driving, and even trail classes. There will also be fun classes like Liberty to promote the Friesian horse in its natural splendor. Due to the efforts of IFSHA, in 2005 USEF also began to provide recognition and annual awards for the Friesian horse.
Every horse containing Friesian blood should be able to connect with and preserve their authentic Dutch heritage. Through IFSHA we want to reach out to all people with horses containing Friesian blood and bring them together to protect, promote, and establish a harmonious show community.
