Sipke 450 (Teade x Ulke) is the most recently approved KFPS/FHANA stallion in the US. He was approved in February of 2009 and had a terrific first breeding season. Sipke had over 100 breedings in 2009.
Sipke is a beautiful stallion with an exceptional temperament. In his stallion report published by the KFPS, Sipke is described as "a handsome breed typical stallion with a beautifully closed top line." His calm attitude coupled with his intelligence and willingness make him a pleasure to work with.
Carrie Wilson, Sipke's rider and trainer, has worked full-time for the past 6 years with top quality Dutch Warmblood horses. Her comment about Sipke: "I've not ridden any horse with a better canter than Sipke".
Sipke 450 is bred and owned by the well know and successful breeders, Klaas and Mares Vanderploeg from Ithaca, Michigan. The Vanderploegs have produced multiple model, crown and star mares not to mention their success in breeding Tonis 393 and Doaitsen 420 (most popular Friesian stallion worldwide in 2009).
To date, the Vanderploegs are the largest suppliers of stallion prospects for the annual stallion testing in California...all home grown!
