Special Fall & Winter Training Offer
This training program is designed for the younger horse (2-3 years) to introduce all aspects of handling, riding and driving without the rigorous physical work-out expected for the mature horse. Horses in this program are setup for success to move forward into later training programs.
Send your youngster south for the winter toTennessee . . .
Experience training includes::
- Halter, leading, ground driving, backing, tying (single and cross), ground tie, park. Trailer loading;
- Ground course obstacles in hand and ground driving;
- Grooming: bathing, clipping, leg-wraps, coolers, blankets;
Riding pre-training includes:
- Intro to saddle, girth, pads, halter, bridle, accept bit (snaffle only!)and bit-less, reins, stand for mounting, park, intro to rider (backing)
- Intro to driving: harness, blinders, snaffle-bit (only!) stand, park, lead and drive.
- Ground driving, bending, intro to shaft, intro to traces, intro to pulling drag.
- Sound conditioning for traffic and show.
- Horses will be taken off location for travel experience
