Murray State University Dressage Show
 karst909
Saturday, September 26, 2009

Arnold Warmels and Samantha Groeneveld were asked to perform their recent orchestrated Pas De Deux for the students at Murray State University.  Arnold presented Karst Van De Olijftak for owner Shirley Whirley of Cullman, AL; and Samantha presented Savannah, owned by Joy Owen.  These two lovely friesians are ready to head to IFSHA in St. Louis where they will compete in-hand; in Dressage, and in the Period Costume classes!

Arnold directed Karst to the First Place Blue Ribbon and handily scored 69.62% with Karst in the Introductory Level Test A and a third place finish with a  62.61% in Training Level Test 1;

Sav9-09
Samantha was in the irons to  team up with Savannah.  Their girl power worked to claim the 4th place ribbon and 61.15% in Savannah's very first dressage test outing in the Introductory Level Test A.

Held during the Georgia State Fair!
Peter Spahn and Anders 451 at CHIO Rotterdam

On Saturday evening, Marc Peter Spahn riding Anders 451 (Fryso Huys Cas) secured a tremendous ninth place in de Grand Prix freestyle to music at the international 5-star world cup competition in Rotterdam. With a score of 68.150%, Peter and Anders demonstrated their expertise. For the audience in the jam-packed bleachers, and followed closely by our visibly enthusiastic Queen Beatrix and Prime Minister Balkenende, it became clear that a KFPS stud stallion can take part as a full-fledged participant in the dressage ring at the highest level of this sport. Among these strong competitors, victory went to Dutch champion Edward Gal riding Moorlands Totilas.

On Thursday, June 18, Peter and Fryso Huys Watch Me, earned a good score (63.579%) in the light tour.

"Fridse 423 Sport"

September 8, 2009

BRIDGEWATER, VA.  Wish Upon A Ster Friesians and Ron Steur Dressage announce the arrival of Fridse 423 Sport at the training facility of 3 Star Horses with dressage trainer Ron Steur.

Breeding stallion Fridse 423 Sport is owned by Wish Upon a Ster Friesians located in Beallsville, MD.

"Wish Upon A Ster Friesians we are all excited about the partnership between Fridse and Ron ~ they make quite an impressive team," said Steven Feys, owner of wish Upon A Star Friesians with his wife Kamilla Feys.

"For Wish Upon A Ster the possibilities are vast as we explore Fridse's future in the Sport with the combination of two incredibly talented athletes," Mr Feys said. "We look forward to incorporating a level of training Fridse has not seen since he left Holland. We know that this
combination will bring out the best in both Fridse & Ron, and will provide a great example for others to aspire to in the Sport,"

Ron will be showcasing Fridse at the Friesian keuring in Ohio on September 13 and 14th, 2009.

"I am extremely excited about working with Fridse. Fridse is a great sport horse and a fantastic breeding stallion. He's the youngest KFPS/FHANA registered stallion worldwide to earn the sport predicate, and his athletic abilities make him a pure pleasure to ride," Ron said.

Ron Steur is a dressage trainer originally from Holland with over 10 years of experience in Grand Prix dressage stables across Europe.

The training facility for Ron is located in the central Shenandoah Valley of Virginia near Lexington, VA.

Our Youth Program Phoenix
Meet Phoenix Ellison

I have had several trainers in the past, but Mr. Arnold is certainly the best. Mr. Arnold is always upbeat.  He discusses both positive and negative points of each lesson.

If I am having trouble understanding, he takes the time to explain it to me and we work on that area together.  Since I started with Mr. Arnold, I have gained more knowledge about my horse's capabilities as well as my own.  My Mom and Dad are also noticing a difference in my riding.  If you are serious about your horse and riding ability, you should call Mr. Arnold for training and riding instruction.  You will see a difference and it is worth it!

Phoenix is the 13 year old daughter of Lisa & Elbert Ellison. She owns & rides an 8 year old Thoroughbred, named Buddy who is now under the training guidance of Fryslan Valley Sport Horses.

Call us at 731-247-3724 or 615-512-9850 to book a lesson or private riding consultation with Fryslan Valley trainer Arnold Warmels.

I deeply appreciate all your hard work and I hope he has helps to promote your business, because you are an excellent trainer.  You have my blessing to use him in any way to help promote the Friesian breed.  All I ask, is to just take care of my boy.

Lodestar's Bright Kitalpha, fondly known as Tally, is a gorgeous combination of her dam's height, build, intelligence, and disposition.  She has her famous sire's coloring, coat, and feather.   Tally is trained for both riding and driving, is solid on the trail, quiet on the road, rides with other horses, used in children's horse camps, and has been to a local schooling show.  She is sweet, smart, and willing to please.  Loves all the attention of grooming and stands quietly in the washbay for clipping, braiding, washing, etc.   Tally would make the perfect FIRST horse!  She is suitable for the beginner, but an experienced rider would have a great time with her as well because of her
willingness to learn new things!
