The Feathered Horse Spring Classic held their inaugural spring event at the beautiful Calsonic Arena, Shelbyville, TN April 17-18, 2009.

Supreme Drum Champion Killian's Irish Red with trainer Arnold Warmels, for owner Villa Vanners.
The entire community of Shelbyville welcomed owners, spectators and trainers who traveled from all over to compete at the showgrounds that is home to the National Tennessee Walking Horse Celebration.
Villa Vanners, a Platinum Sponsor for this event, brought out 5 of gorgeous stallions; two Yearlings, Tequila & Bambi; and two mares Villa Vanner's Sky, and Villa Vanner's Sinead for the event.
Killian's Irish Red, a 4 Year Old Drum Stallion, now standing at stud to the public, showed off his beautiful moves for the delight of the crowd and judge and was named Supreme Drum Champion, in a follow-up to his title of 2008. Killian claimed the blue ribbon titles in the Drum Horse Western Pleasure Walk Jog division; Drum Walk Favorite Gait Charity division to benefit Hoofbeats for Kids; Drum Horse English Pleasure Walk Trot; and Drum Horse Driving In Hand title. Killian also claimed the Drum Horse Stallion In Hand title; the Drum Horse Color class; and Drum Horse Showmanship division.
The Stallions of Villa Vanners were proudly presented by Fryslan Valley Sport Horse staff to a variety of titles including Clononeen Dalcassian capturing the Overall Gypsy Performance Reserve Championship title, awarded at the close of the event.
Clononeen Mull of Kintyre, aka Romeo, was wooing the crowd and handler Billy Dean captured the 3rd place spot in the Gypsy of Color class out of 33 fine entries! Romeo then followed up that he is not just another pretty face, but an amazing performer under saddle, in addition to his already known driving prowess.
Many people who had not yet seen Villa Vanner's Bullet in person were quite impressed with his gorgeous Silver Bay color and interest was far and wide in seeking a breeding opportunity to this gorgeous, talented, mild mannered stallion.
Taskin, in his second ever show, made us all very proud. This vociferous young stallion likes to strut his stuff and make his presence known wherever he goes. He's got quite the following and is producing some of the most gorgeous foals ever! Keep an eye out for Taskin. . .this boy is going to be a performance horse deluxe and will be continuing his training under saddle & in driving to attend events alongside his Villa Vanner brothers.

Menno & assistant trainer, Jessica Caldwell enjoying a quiet moment following their Costume Class win for proud owner Hillary Combs, Dandridge, TN.
