Greetings! ,
Salvation is a done deal. It was completed at the Tomb of Resurrection when Jesus emerged victorious once and for all over sin and death. While on this earth, Jesus imparted that victory and authority to us, His followers, and commanded us to use that authority and power to cast out demons, heal the sick, and raise the dead (Mark 16: 17-18; Matthew 10:8).
Yet, when was the last time you cast out a demon, healed the sick, or raised a dead person back to life? If we truly believe what Jesus said, then we need to ask ourselves some hard questions. Why are we not casting out demons, healing the sick, and raising the dead?
I believe that there are three possible answers to these questions:
1) God's people are ignorant of who they are in Christ.
2) God's people have not been taught how to operate in His power.
3) God's people do not truly believe what God says in His Word.
In order to operate in the power and authority we have in Christ, we must first of all know that we have that power and authority. We cannot use what we do not know we have.
But it is not enough simply to know we have something. We must believe that what we have will work for us when we put it to use because Jesus said it would work.
I personally have put God's Word to work and found it true. I have cast out demons and healed the sick. I have not yet raised anyone from the dead, but if the opportunity arises, I believe that God will be faithful to His Word.
I am no more special than any one of you. I have simply chosen to believe that God says what He means and means what He says. I have chosen to take God at His Word and to act on His Word, expecting Him to come through on His Word.
You too can cast out demons, heal the sick, and raise the dead. You too can have signs and wonders follow you simply by believing that God's Word is true.
It is time for the Body of Christ to awaken from its sleep. It is time for the Body of Christ to arise. It is time for the Body of Christ to act like the Body of Christ.
