Dear Friends
We live in "interesting times" as we move forward into a world that has never existed before. Many of us are feeling "our" world shift and move under our feet, as we hear news of yet another natural disaster or economic meltdown, and more secrets and scandals come to light. For some of us the upheavals of the present time are manifesting through our own personal circumstances. For some there is a deep sense of being part of a human web which links us all in an experience of cosmic forces which go beyond life on this planet, as we face a threshold of fundamental collective transformation.
We are now at midsummer, when the days are long and we have more light to find our way. Let us enjoy the season of enlightenment and connect with a clear vision of intent and purpose so that we can co-create the future together.
With love and light

"A new experience of union and communion
is reached through the emergence of
what Teilhard de Chardin calls the "noosphere",

Message from Janice
I read recently how the civil rights movement in the USA generated creative change in the 1950s before the internet mass media campaigns. Apparently Martin Luther King explained that much of what happened was "through resonance, through people finding connection with one another". This might be a good explanation for why in the Wrekin Forum we value highly the small local groupings and the chance for connection, for conversation, for sharing, and mutual learning that the Local Connectors and local groups provide.
Our role perhaps is not so much to start composting and growing vegetables - we can link with a local transition town for that - but to help generate the interlinked knowing or mental substance, the interlinked heart connections, and appreciation of life. This not only affirms what is emerging through us but also contributes to the surrounding noosphere. Sir George Trevelyan saw this as one of the key reasons for starting the Wrekin Trust.
So in this 40th birthday year we are adding to our collective generation of invisible 'stuff' at our next Round Table in which we will share our experiences and challenges of the last year and together explore the theme of "Evolutionary Consciousness and the Anima Mundi". If it is not now time to restore the planet's collective soul, then when? If we are not amongst those tasked with spearheading this endeavour, then who? The "union and communion" that we can generate together enable the invisible longing of many hearts and minds to manifest more visibly and spread like fire, and spread they will if each of us plays our part. (click here for Round Table details )
"The day will come when, after harnessing the ether,
the winds, the tides, gravitation, we shall harness
for God the energies of love. And, on that day,
for the second time in the history of the world,
man will have discovered fire."
Teilhard de Chardin 1934
Let the spark of fire in each of us kindle and re-kindle the sparks in each other.

"A universal human is one who is connected
through the heart of the whole of life,
attuned to the deepest intelligence of nature and
called forth irresistibly by Spirit to creatively express
his or her gifts on the evolution of self and the world.
Above all, a universal human has shifted identity
from the separated egoic self to the deeper self
that is a direct expression of service.
To become a universal human
is to evolve consciously,
choosing a path of development
that has never been mapped before
in a world that has never existed before."

The World's Ascension and Christ Birth
We recently had the pleasure of meeting with Peter Dawkins, an old friend of the Wrekin Trust from the earliest days, who shared with us an account of a vision which he was given in 2010, while visiting a landscape temple in North Germany.
He suddenly saw Sir George Trevelyan standing before him, with a walking stick in his left hand and a star shining on the forefinger of his raised right hand. Sir George explained that he was a representative of one of the Ray Lords, and told Peter of his work with the "team above", exclaiming with great passion that "the time is now!" and "Operation Redemption is now in hand!"
Peter has very kindly agreed to allow us to share with you his account of this meeting with Sir George, who was then joined by Peter Caddy and Air Chief Marshal Hugh Dowding in declaring that "Mercury is being born" - the planetary Christ consciousness or Christ being. Into Christ Consciousness
We live in extraordinary times that call us to transform how we think, act and relate in the world. A special Easter Gathering is planned for 7-10 April 2012 at Findhorn to focus on how we may co-create our emerging future in a changing, challenging world. The Findhorn Foundation will be hosting this event, in collaboration with other organisations including CANA (Christians Awakening to a New Awareness), the Wrekin Trust, Contemplative Fire, and Friends of Iona.
This will be an experiential and participatory gathering in which we open to an expanded consciousness beyond the polarities of male and female, spirit and matter, dark and light - where we meet, balance and are reconciled. Contributors will include William Bloom, Jeddah Mali, Julia MacDonald, William Meader, Philip Roderick, and Barbara Swetina, together with Gillian Paschkes-Bell and Janice Dolley.
You are invited to join us, to co-create, share, be inspired and make ongoing lasting connections. Together we can open a channel for a new spirituality and a new expression of Christ consciousness. Further details here or visit www.intocc.net.

This will be a celebration of spirit, philosophy, music, art and creativity in the company of world-class speakers, a fabulous mix of spiritual and philosophical dialogue with fine entertainment, delicious food and good music.

Our Moment in History and the Evolution of the Modern Self
"We seem to be living at the end of an era. We are facing a threshold of fundamental collective transformation that bears a striking resemblance to what takes place on the individual level in initiatory rites of passage, in near-death experiences, in spiritual crises, and in critical stages of what Jung called the individuation process. So much is at stake. Can we find a place of equilibrium, an eye in the storm, from which we can engage this time of intense polarization and radical change?"
Richard Tarnas, cultural historian and author of The Passion of the Western Mind and Cosmos and Psyche: Intimations of a New World View, will be speaking on Thursday 18 August at Colet House in London W14. Do join us as we seek insights that might illuminate our moment in history and provide a larger context for both understanding and action.

"Where the spiritual path really begins to get interesting
is when we recognize that transforming ourselves in the
deepest possible way is in fact an evolutionary imperative
with profound consequences far beyond ourselves.
When we begin to embrace the fact that our lives
really are not our own to do with as we please, that in
everything we do, we are in fact accountable to the Whole,
something truly miraculous begins to happen."

Evolutionary Consciousness
On Saturday 16 April, a group of about 50 people came together in Pembrokeshire for a day to focus on Evolutionary Consciousness, and to explore vision, connections and challenges of our time. A world perspective was given by David Karchere, and Don Macgregor shared some thoughts on evolutionary consciousness and religion.
The day generated tremendous energy and a strong sense of connection, and a full report is available here . |

OUT OF THE DARKNESS
From Turmoil to Transformation
By Steve Taylor
Includes an in-depth interview with Eckhart Tolle
Out of the Darkness tells the stories of more than 30 people who have undergone permanent spiritual awakening after intense trauma and turmoil in their lives. From suffering terrible injuries or developing life-threatening diseases, to hitting rock bottom as a result of addiction, these people have all shifted into a state of enlightenment and peace.
Steve Taylor has also interviewed several spiritual teachers whose original awakening occurred after intense psychological turmoil, including Eckhart Tolle and Catherine Ingram. In addition to telling these people's stories, Out of the Darkness explains why turmoil has this 'awakening' effect, and illustrates the almost infinite capacity of human beings to overcome suffering. It suggests that, so long as we have the courage to face up to and accept negative situations, there is nothing for us to fear. But perhaps most importantly, it shows how natural spiritual awakening is to human beings, and how close it is to all of us. For further details, visit:

"Prophecies, though they may be wrong in their specifics,
may still be evidence that something important is going on
and that we need to pay attention.
May 21, 2011, definitely was not the end of the world,
and December 21, 2012, will not be either.
But they join a growing collection of impressions,
prophecies, dreams, visions, and intuitions from
literally hundreds of thousands of people around the world
that humanity is on the brink of world-transforming change.
The importance of this does not lie in the details of each
individual impression or prophecy; almost certainly most if
not all of them will be mistaken or wrong in their specifics.
But taken together, they represent a powerful collective
intuition that we as a species have reached a
turning point (or tipping point) of some nature.
It's more than time that we paid attention.
True prophecy always holds out hope.
This is because the function of prophecy
really isn't to foretell the future;
it's to inspire awareness and
change in the present."
