And a new consciousness is now coming into being.  As I travel around the country helping this network of relationships to take shape in local areas, so I find that there is a growing awareness that all life is One and that each of us is asked - individually and collectively - to play our own unique part in the unfolding of this 'cosmic life of immeasurable dimensions'.  We seem to be learning how to re-connect both with nature and with our own souls. 
 
We are also learning how to collectively birth the world soul or anima mundi.  This world soul seems to comprise a vast web of relationships, connecting us with fields of invisible energy moving at ever faster rates of vibration and ever calling us to this new consciousness.  We need both to be a 'spiritual activist' that helps the birthing process along in a masculine kind of way, and also access the feminine part of ourselves, and through intuition and the power of creative imagination "allow the process of gestation to come from within the core of ourselves", as one regional round table participant in Norwich recently described it.
 
Like the cells in an early stage embryo, awareness seems to be growing at an exponential rate.  Maybe this is the process of morphic resonance that Rupert Sheldrake has described.  Certainly it seem that each regional gathering starts off where the previous one left off, and as each new horizon is gained so the new consciousness is coming into being.

The series of regional round tables currently underway is initially a clustering process, bringing together kindred spirits who are feeling drawn to be part of 'the natural emergence of our true potential as one human organism fully integrated into the web of Life on Earth', as one participant put it. 
 
An initial gathering seems to be an opportunity to share deeply our own 'paradigm of aliveness' with others who live near enough to establish an ongoing connection in a circle of trust that can evolve in its own way.  Hearing each other speak of what deeply moves us seems to be a valuable process of 'listening another's soul into being'.

Having formed a small cluster, groups seem to proceed in different ways depending on their own ideas and the needs in their area.  In Forest Row and Norwich, where many spiritual groupings already exist, further gatherings are going to consider ways of bring these together in a networking event or 'festival of spirituality'.  In Hereford some expressed delight at meeting others who were 'becoming the spiritual dynamic behind transition' and have a chance to communicate different ways of thinking so that a 'changed ethic of living might come into being'.

Those of us who attended the Round Table were introduced to the ideas behind Spiral Dynamics, a means of defining the global cultural landscape in terms of a spiral sequence.  We are grateful to Pauline McDonald for her introduction to this fascinating perspective.
 
Our good friends and associates the SunDial Centre have now added to the World Service page of their website www.creativemeditation.org several papers on Spiral Dynamics, and suggest that these give a good introduction into the newly evolving understanding of group psychology in which we all take part, consciously or unconsciously.
