December 2009 News

Dear Friends,
Although this mailing list has been quiet over the last two months, my life has been anything but. Since my last newsletter, Matt and I and our three kitties relocated to Houston, TX due to a job that Matt has accepted here. We made the decision to move in early October and we moved out of our condo on October 23! Life has been moving at a dizzying pace, and I can barely absorb all of the changes.
Since moving to Providence, RI after I graduated college, I have lived in New England all of my adult life. I loved living in Salem, MA and will miss my local friends dearly. But, I am committed to keeping close personal and professional ties to New England and plan on making regular trips back "home". I also ship my prints around the world, so please be assured that any work you purchase will be packaged and shipped with the utmost care.
My new city has a vibrant arts scene and hosts an international biennial photo festival, FotoFest. I am fortunate to have local photography centers and organizations such as the Houston Center for Photography, the Texas Photographic Society and the New Orleans Photo Alliance. I look forward to exploring and making friends in a new arts community.
In the midst of my move, a few exciting developments occurred, which I've been eager to share with you. This week I also posted several new images to the Thrills and Chills and Elderly Animals sections of my web site.I hope you will enjoy them, and as always I look forward to hearing from you.
Thanks for reading!
Warm Regards, Isa

she shot with an inexpensive plastic camera, made of amusement park

Also in October, online art journal Art Throb published a feature on me and my work. Joceyln Almy Testa writes, "Isa
first impressed me with an impeccably printed presented portfolio of
prints....[Her images]...exhibit her sensitivity to what lies beneath
the surface of everyday awareness."
