Facebook®

I am having much fun with my Facebook® page. I'm treating the page as a psudo-blog through which I'm sharing links, news, calls for entry and thoughts relating to photography. I'm also highlighting other artists whose work inspires me. In the past month, over 90 fans have joined this page from across North America and around the world, including England, Portugal, France, and Singapore. It's a diverse group united by a shared love of photography. I hope you will join us! Don't forget to become a fan of the page so you can receive regular updates and news.

Twitter®
I too have jumped on the Twitter bandwagon and am finding it a valuable resource. Some of my favorite photographers and gallerists are using it to talk shop.  Follow me to receive various photography-related news items, blog postings and images I find during my virtual travels. There is some overlap between the content shared on Facebook and on Twitter, but I'm trying to keep it to a minimum.

If you've already entered the raffle, thank you so much for your generous donation. I will announce the print raffle winner at the end of June.

Call for Suggestions

Lastly, I am co-curating with Michelle Bates an exhibit of toy camera photography for Luminous Lint. I am thrilled to be working with Michelle, who is the author of Plastic Cameras: Toying with Creativity, a book I highly recommend to lovers of lo-fi photography.

Who are your favorite toy camera photographers? Please e-mail me your suggestions by no later than May 8th. I am particularly interested in suggestions for photographers who reside outside of North America.

If you haven't checked out Luminious Lint, I strongly encourage you to do so. It is a veritable encyclopedia of photography and is a valuable resource for curators, academics and collectors of photography. The sheer volume of work on this site will make your head spin. I have spent many hours browsing the site and have only scratched the surface of what's there.
