| Spend your spring fling doing mission |
Offer a group from your church the chance to make a difference by helping to rebuild homes damaged by the June 2008 flood in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This build--April 12 to May 21--is sponsored by National Ministries in partnership with Church World Service and its member denominations. No construction skills are required, but space is limited, so be sure to get your group registered by the March 10 deadline. Contact Victoria Goff and volunteer today.

 ABCUSA devoted a day at the Valley Forge Mission Center to reflection about the impact of last month's earth-shattering quake on Haitians in their native land as well as those living in the United States. Haitian American Baptist churches--whose members have lost many loved ones--are working through their alliance to help victims. Mission Center staff prayed, worshiped and answered the call to contribute to funds designated for sending Haitian American Baptists to Haiti to work side-by-side with their brothers and sisters in the recovery and rebuilding effort.

 Throughout February Judson Press will host free inspiring and educational webinars with several of its African-American authors. Rev. Dr. James C. Perkins will present "Raising & Mentoring Black Teen Boys" at 10 a.m. February 10, and Joseph Robinson Jr. will share his "Losing Your Head Leadership" perspective on February 17 at 2 p.m. Yet to be scheduled, a session focused on the role of women's voices in preaching will be presented by Dr. Valerie Bridgeman the last week of the month.
