Advocate for Baptist/Muslim dialogue |
National Ministries has supported the development of a documentary, "Different Books, Common Word," by EthicsDaily.com that furthers the cause of peace in our world by exploring Baptist/Muslim relationships. "Different Books, Common Word" will be aired by ABC-TV stations across the country in the coming weeks. Check out the planned showings, and if it's scheduled for airing at 4 a.m. in your community, call the station manager to graciously request a change in broadcast time that will open the production to a wider audience. |
Show your children-- Small steps can make a big difference |
Momentum for The Penny Project is building in American Baptist congregations and ministries across the country. To date more than 75 participating groups have raised more than 1.2 million pennies toward the 14 million goal. One million down, 13 more to go! Register your group today: A number of resources such as tee shirts, litanies, brochures and posters will support your efforts, and your youth will learn that together we can change the world--one penny at a time. |
Try on this mission idea for size |
Christmas may be over, but its spirit lingers among Karenni refugee families in Camden, N.J., thanks to National Ministries' annual holiday project. Staff members donated bins and bins of new and gently used blankets, coats, hats and other cold weather garb to these families who have not previously experienced winter. Toys were also collected for the more than 100 children. But work still needs to be done to help these families and more like them. Consider how you and your church can help. |
