Preparing to Sell?

One of the most important things to remember if you are selling your home is that real estate is visual. Remember, less is more, so de-clutter.  Paint is a relatively inexpensive fix. Spruce up the landscaping so people will like what they see on the outside of the home. Put yourself in the place of a Buyer and take an objective look at your house. If an item is worn, not working , or in bad condition either fix or replace it before it is listed, as first impressions are lasting. The reason for this is that if an item  is  worn or in bad shape, for instance-carpeting, in the mind of a Buyer the cost to replace the item is always inflated quite a bit more than the actual cost. This inflated amount will usually be reflected in a lower offer on your property.

By doing these repairs first, you will not only increase the likelihood that your property will sell faster, as it will show better, but also get more money in your pocket as well.
