Beginning April 1, 2010, four new geographical
ENERGY STAR zones will rate window and door products by new criteria. These zones will rate both U-factor (rate of heat loss) and SHGC (solar heat gain
coefficient) to indicate the best products for colder northern climates where
heat loss is a concern and warmer southern climates where solar heat gain is a
concern. All Marvin products will feature a new NFRC label showing the zones in
which that specific product qualifies for ENERGY STAR.
