Third Day Thanks Our Troops |
 Military Ministry caught up with Christian rock band Third Day just before they performed at Celebrate Freedom in Dallas. Band members Mac Powell, David Carr, Mark Lee and Tai Anderson were very excited to have the opportunity to thank our troops for their sacrifice and service to our country.

Independence Day = Freedom |
 You may have heard this saying, "There have only been two defining forces in the world willing to die for you: Jesus Christ and the American Soldier. Jesus died for your soul and the American Soldier died for your freedom." As Independence Day approaches, let us remember and honor those who have sacrificed their very lives for our freedom, and take time to honor and thank God for His Hand in American Independence. Ministering at Celebrate Freedom |
 100 degree weather did not stop over 60,000 people from attending Dallas/Fort Worth's 94.9 KLTY 20th Anniversary Celebrate FreedomŽ Festival. The crowd heard music from today's biggest Christian artists, enjoyed children's entertainment, rides, exhibits (including the Military Ministry booth) and amazing fireworks. It was wonderful to see the crowd on their feet cheering for our troops and their families as Military Ministry's Executive Director Bob Dees inspired them to celebrate freedom by honoring those who defend it!
For Military Ministry, it was another awesome opportunity to provide prayer and resources to our troops and their families. We collected over 300 personal hand-written notes of encouragement to troops from guests visiting our booth, and distributed Rapid Deployment Kit (RDK) Bibles and Psalm 91 books to current military members.

Summer Camp for Military Children |
 Military Ministry would like to share a wonderful opportunity to help military families send their children, ages 6-16, to a fun-filled week of summer camp at Sky Ranch in Texas.
Linda Paulk, President and CEO of Sky Ranch, is the wife of a US Navy Commander, who recently returned from a tour in Afghanistan, and the mother of two children. Linda knows what military life is like, and how important it is to provide children with fun, character building outings/activities in a safe environment during the summer. It is her heart to honor and recognize the selfless service of all our military men and women by giving back to their families. Read More...
