Greetings!

    Before I tell you about our new exciting evangelism idea, let me share a review of last week's Health and Healing Crusade for 2011. Modern Manna Ministries conducted an impactful Health & Healing Crusade attracting over 1,000 people for the Sabbath meetings.  I was amazed by the many new faces and visitors from various denominations and distant cities that showed great interest and appreciation for the once-a-year event.  

   This years lineup kicked off with Charmaine Daniels demonstrating BellaVita's Live Food Recipes. She brought her talents in health education as a recent graduate of Living Light Culinary Arts Institute, the premier raw food school in the world! The large Friday gathering watched as Charmaine with artistic skill made mouth-watering dishes such as Almond-Pesto Torte, Raw Pizza with a Sprouted Buckwheat Crust, and Zucchini Noodles with Pesto. The fun part was sampling the beautiful dishes. Charmaine demonstrated knife skills and use of the Vita Mix, Excalibur Dehydrator, Food Processor, Nut Milk Bag, Sprouting, and more. She inspired us with a taste of what is to come at BellaVegan School of Raw Cuisine. Also from Sonora SDA Church, Senior Pastor Nathan Renner presented two outstanding messages on health and the love of God. The first called The Cleansing Blood was about Pastor Renner's conversion to God and vegetarianism. The second sermon was my personal favorite called Spiritual Regeneration. The heartfelt message invoked us to consider reflecting Christ's love to others in the ministry of healing. 

   Dave Westbrook, a Modern Manna favorite, returned this year to awaken us to the coming crisis and the need for practical preparation. The frequency of natural disasters are birth pangs to warn the world of the nearness of Jesus' coming. Dave's messages were timely, engaging and showed strong attendance as our early morning lecturer. 

  Cherie Calbom, The Juice Lady, arrived as a new speaker to the Health & Healing Crusade. She captured the audience with her down-to-earth approach while sharing healing testimonies and the power of live juice. Giana Vierra, MFT, segued the audience into a closer application of the gospel in a message calling us to become addicted to Christ. A safe and healthy choice for powerful and lasting freedom from soul destroying addictions. 

  We all sat as it were at the feet of a wise old sage, as 89-year old Charlotte Gerson taught us from her storehouse of wisdom. As always, Charlotte captivated us with her humor & wit, experience, personal stories, and scientific knowledge. The audience rushed to buy her two new books, The Metabolic Syndrome and Healing Arthritis and Joint problems. In addition to the wonderful speakers, we were blessed with musical talents of many this year including the Carmichael Choir, Angolian Men's Vocalists, Pianist Ann Meeker, and featuring the musical talents of Lila Cervantes. Many were impressed by the Spirit as Lila poured out her heart in song with original lyrics by Brenda Lane. 

  I shared my new Learn How To Be Well series, a title inspired by Julius Gilbert White, author of Abundant Health, Alpha and Omega of Apostasy, and A Syllabus for Holy Living. His "Learn How To Be Well" series appeared early in the last century. I was providentially blessed to receive his original slides and antique projector with corresponding books and manuscripts. I receive this torch with utmost humility and dedication to carry forward God's truth. I pray the Lord continue to strengthen me with the same passion manifested by this god-fearing man to see God's children prepared to receive the Seal of the Living God.    Modern Manna Ministries is committed to sharing the health message and the gospel of salvation to the world. Now comes the exciting news I have been waiting to tell you!!! We just completed our very first feature documentary BellaVita--A Beautiful Life to use as an evangelistic tool to reach the cities. Here is where YOU can be intimately involved. We are looking for individuals to sponsor hosting a "Red Carpet Screening" of the new documentary in theaters and film festivals. 

   I was inspired when viewing the documentary 9,000 Needles that profiles an ex-bodybuilder who suffered a stroke. The partially-paralyzed man goes on to seek alternative therapy (acupuncture) in China after the Health Insurance system of the U.S. fails to provide necessary rehabilitative therapy. The creators promote the film through leased independent and local theaters nationwide. Through their efforts, the film has achieved national recognition, awards at film festivals, and grassroots advocacy for alternative therapies. I attended the film while in Santa Cruz, where five hundred people obtained free-online tickets with a VIP invitation to an after-party with refreshments and opportunity to ask questions and to take action. 

  God has shown me that we can use the same model with BellaVita--A Beautiful Life--an exciting new documentary which presents the true health message and the gospel in a powerful and gripping way. I have not seen a documentary like it, because the health message is perfectly blended with the gospel. George Hope and I spent hours editing the 25-plus hours of footage down to a 56-minute fast-paced, heart-moving documentary filled with healing miracles. This unprecedented film captures real guests on an unscripted journey and their healing miracles using unconventional and natural remedies. BellaVita--A Beautiful Life is about reversing disease with lifestyle changes, cleansing and  regeneration, colon detoxification, parasite elimination, liver and gallbladder flushes, and more.

   We are planning to pilot this evangelistic design at the same vintage theater, the Del Mar in Santa Cruz, CA., where 9000 Needles played months ago. We want to advertise in local papers, the web, and PSA's on radio and draw 500 vacationers and towns-people in this very popular summer amusement park city bordering the beautiful Pacific Ocean. Besides, Santa Cruz is a large hippie and New Age community. We hope to introduce many curious and spiritually-searching eyes to behold the Lamb of God "Who forgives all your iniquities and heals all your diseases." Ps. 103:3). The live food demonstrations and taste sampling is another draw to the free event. After all, if the devil could use live food in the Garden of Eden to lure Adam and Eve to disobey God, why can't we use live food to reach those who know not the gospel? We can use the 9000 Needles' concept and the serpent's ploy to win them back to the Tree of Life (Jesus is the spiritual Tree of Life) rather than to the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. 

    This screening will coordinate with a Health Forum, Live Food Demonstration & taste samples by Charmaine Daniels, product sales of DVDs and free literature, including free copies of the Ministry of Healing and Steps to Christ. During the showing, a sponsor showcase will recognize our contributors and benefactors in this tremendous outreach. We want you to feel very much an integral part of this important end-time work for our desperately sick world. Please pray for our evangelistic effort.
