(Continued from last week)

       I would like to begin where I left off last week and share more of my testimony with you. Remember, it was the love I saw in Jesus hanging on the cross for me--the cross Dan Collins lifted high for my dark eyes to see--that won me to my precious Saviour. Jesus loves us more than any human can ever love us. He imparted to me His victorious life, through the power of the Holy Spirit, to save me from alcohol, drugs, and my sinful life.
      I would burn the midnight oil studying the Bible and the Spirit of Prophecy--learning as much as was humanly possible. My wife, at the time, would comment, "All he does is study those books." I was determined to know as much about the love of God and His truth as possible. I would spend at least four hours a day and longer on weekends studying the health message and the gospel.

      After a year and a half of diligent study, I was ready for baptism. I thought about Dan Collin's two prophecies: 1) The first prophecy: "All of Lodi will know soon enough." Through television, live radio on Healthline for 12 years, 2 health stores, a vegetarian café called Back to Eden, public cooking schools, Modern Manna Ministry, 10 Health and Healing Crusades, BellaVita Lifestyle Center, and my infomercial The Almighty Cleanse, prophecy number 1 has definitely been fulfilled; 2) The second prophecy Dan shared with me was: "I will baptize you and your wife together some day". Remember when he made this prophesy, I was a heathen and married to another woman, but now the time had come for my new wife (and now ex-wife), Charise, and I to join Dan in the baptismal tank.

      The local minister tried to discourage me from asking Dan to baptize us: "He is an evangelist." Evangelists don't usually baptize." As far as I was concerned: "No Dan, no baptism!" Dan showed up just in the nick of time and quickly said: "Danny, someone doesn't want you baptized. The wiring in my motor home burnt up as I was leaving." Dan then took me aside and gave me the third prophecy. He said: "God has a very special work for you to do. I am not sure what it is precisely, but it is a very large work."

       Eighteen years past since my baptism, and strange as it may seem, Dan and I never saw each other again until he showed up at Modern Manna's door while visiting a friend in California with a brain tumor. I was elated to see Kay and Dan again after so many years, and told him I had heard that he had cancer and that it had spread. It was true--Dan had prostate cancer with metastasis and only a few months to live. I invited him to come to BellaVita and I would help him get well. The tall red-headed man agreed and followed me to our beautiful lifestyle center in the country. Immediately I started him on a cleansing and detoxification program using raw, organic juices, herbs, and coffee enemas for pain control and detoxifying the liver. Within a few days, his urinal bleeding stopped and his flow increased! He also had days where he was pain free, and never had to use the morphine he had been prescribed while there. He lost 17 pounds in twelve days and was doing better!

      Dan and I spent many hours discussing my being disfellowshipped from the church and his desire to see me re-engage. We argued, laughed, and even wept at times. He said, "If I had not found you in so much trouble in the church I would have been surprised." Dan knew of my work in self-supporting work over the years, and had been following my progress from the sidelines. He knew I was standing for truth and strongly addressing the apostasy in the church. He knew I was disfellowshipped for not following constituted church authority, and about the billboards we sponsored throughout California depicting the pope as the Antichrist. There is one statement that I must include at this time written by E.G. White about former Catholics trumpeting the Three Angels' Messages at the eleventh hour: "There are many souls to come out of the ranks of the world, out of the churches--even the Catholic Church--whose zeal will far exceed that of those who have stood in rank and file to proclaim the truth heretofore. For this reason the eleventh hour laborers will receive their penny. These will see the battle coming and will give the trumpet a certain sound. When the crisis is upon us, when the season of calamity shall come, they will come to the front, gird themselves with the whole armor of God, and exalt His law, adhere to the faith of Jesus, and maintain the cause of religious liberty which reformers defended with toil and for which they sacrificed their lives." (3SM 386,7).

      I am still feeling the repercussions for what God had called me do ten years ago. I am a former Catholic with 12 years of Catholic schools. I have written two books, "Is The Virgin Mary Dead or Alive?" and "The Final Inquisition", which expose the pagan religion and her false doctrines of immortality of the soul and Sunday sacredness. Dan was hurt by the church's actions against me and said: "At worse they could have censored you."

      As we shared more, he could see I had no bitterness against the church. I He knew I loved my brothers and sisters in the SDA church and longed to see the church revive and reform. Dan told me to serious pray about rejoining and working to help bring about revival and reformation in the church. He went so far as to say: "God wants me to pass the baton to you, Danny." I never entertained the idea that the third prophecy was only partially fulfilled and that there would be more blessing to come. Today, Modern Manna is spreading the message broader than ever. 12 Health Crusades, two and a half million Mary Books in seven languages, 25,000 copies of my new book The Final Inquisition in only seven months, the free weekly Elijah Prophecy to thousands people and growing, the infomercial Almighty Cleanse reached millions, and BellaVita lifestyle center where we help the sick and train medical missionaries--more fulfillments of the third prophecy made by Dan that the work God has for you is "very large."

      Getting back to BellaVita, At the end of twelve days, Dan surprised me and said he had to leave. It was too soon for his healing had just begun. The stubborn old man that I loved so much said: "A man has to do what he has to do and I am going to die with my boots on." Dan had an evangelistic meeting scheduled in Michigan that he was not going to miss. I begged him to stay longer, but he refused. I wept by his side, and we realized the love we had always had for each other. After a struggle to get back to Michigan, Dan held a few evangelistic meetings and finally broke down and had to give the meetings over to another evangelist.

      While Dan was at BellaVita, he invited several influential people in the church to come there, not only to visit him, but also to meet my family and see the work we were doing. He loved the story how God had established our property in 1844, as well as eating and drinking the fresh organic fruits from our orchard. I assured him BellaVita was the most blessed work I had ever done. To help someone with a terminal disease like cancer, whether an SDA evangelist like Dan Collins, or some of the others who had come for healing--the Mormons, a Catholic priest, a third-degree Mason who wept after I read to him the about Gethsemane in The Desire of Ages brings a joy and satisfaction beyond words. Through the "entering wedge" we can lead souls to Christ.

      Who would have thought that Dan's cancer and death would ignite a burning in my bones to help the people in the church? No wonder he never was shown the details of the third prophesy, for it involved his own death. Friends, Dan's death brought life to Danny! In fact, Dan said when leaving BellaVita, "I can see God's hand in this. You are not bitter at all and the Holy Spirit is working through you. Just keep following His voice and He will show you what to do," Dan said. Dan no longer fought my resistance to rejoin the SDA church, but recognized the blessings God was bestowing and resigned the matter into His hands. "You just keep doing what you are doing," said my good friend. We both wiped our tears.

      I stayed in touch with Dan by phone until he died. I asked God to make known the purpose of our reunion, for Dan and I knew that divine providence was at work. Over the past months, God has revealed to me that their are many unfaithful pastors and the sheep are in trouble. "The sheep, Danny, help the sheep of my pasture." But being an outcast from Israel had limited my ability to reach the SDA sheep, for rarely am I allowed to speak in a conference church. I therefore started renting other halls and the fairgrounds in Lodi to educate the city around me and many of my own came. In 2002-2004 we had over 2,000 people in the audience and half were non-SDAs--sheep not of this fold. I always try to persuade my church to take part in the outreach, but they always refuse. The Health and Healing Crusades have been supported by self-supporting ministries like Amazing Facts and Weimar, and even the Northern California Conference had a booth there. I do not understand sometimes the reluctance from my own people to catch the vision. Right now campmeetings are being cancelled due to the recession. You would think that the church would take advantage of the well attended crusades and join the effort to reach thousands with our message. The words are ringing in my ears: "I asked the meaning of the shaking I had seen and was shown that it would be caused by the straight testimony called forth by the counsel of the True Witness to the Laodiceans. This will have its effect upon the heart of the receiver, and will lead him to exalt the standard and pour forth the straight truth. Some will not bear this straight testimony. They will rise up against it, and this is what will cause a shaking among God's people." (EW 270). The straight testimony will be given in the church while the wheat and the tares are commingled.

      I was invited to speak at the Clovis SDA church for Sabbath night vespers after the crusade. I was given two hours to share my testimony and a message on health reform. I saw that many in Israel had been overcome by appetite and many were suffering with disease caused by indiscretions of lifestyle habits. No one left in the two hours and many responded with renewed enthusiasm. The last voice heard in the audience during the question and answer period was that of a non-SDA suffering from cancer. She said. "I need your help, Danny, I have cancer." I thought about the people, Jew and Gentile, and that God was no respecter of persons.

      I believe the third prophecy Dan gave me at my Baptism was exactly this--to combine the medical missionary work with the proclamation of the third angel's message. to Jerusalem, Samaria and the "utter most parts of the world." Ellen White said: "agitate, agitate, agitate," and to "educate, educate, educate." Last year I read my Bible through and The Conflict of the Ages series simultaneously. In Patriarchs and Prophets Moses belabored with, and for, a stiff-necked people who continually murmured against God. He saw them as God's chosen people and faithfully, and, at times, frustratingly, led them to the Promise Land. Many were slain in the journey because of their apostasy and blatant insubordination but the faithful few made it through! As long as there was hope for revival in the church, even if there was one, Moses persevered. "God calls for a revival and a spiritual reformation. Unless this takes place, those who are lukewarm will continue to grow more abhorrent to the Lord, until He will refuse to acknowledge them as His children. 1SM 127

      On Sabbath, May 8, my family joined Doug Bachelor's Church in Sacramento by profession of faith. We have peace in our hearts about our decision and believe we have listened to the voice of the Holy Spirit. Modern Manna Ministries continues the work of spreading the messages of health and gospel with total dedication to the Three Angels' Messages. Sometimes I feel like Elijah when he reengaged with Israel at God's precise timing. I transferred my membership to Fairmont SDA Church in Lodi a few years ago and I attend there regularly. Since I am not elected to office or asked to speak in my own church, Modern Manna Health and Healing Crusade will again take place June 11-13, at Lodi Grape Festival Grounds for the twelfth time.
