TEA PARTY OR ADVENT MOVEMENT

I just listened to a sound bite of Newt Gingrich, former Speaker of the House, on AM 840 KMPH--The Patriot. Gingrich was making the point that throwing billions of dollars to the big boys in an effort to bailout the economy will fail again: "This is a Bush-Obama continuum. The same big spending that started with Bush's $600 per person stimulus package last spring failed; followed by the $345 billion dollar housing bailout in the summer which failed; followed by the $700 billion dollar Wallstreet bailout which failed; and the Federal Reserve $4 trillion dollar guarantee which failed, now followed by the stimulus package of $787 billion which is failing; and now by Geithner, I think, a $2 trillion dollar plan which will fail. This is a continuum. That is why Geithner, symbolically, has to go as the Secretary of the Treasury, because he is the continuum...He is intimately involved in bailing out the big boys at the expense of the average American....This will dramatically hurt the country, cost the taxpayers billions of dollars, set up long term debt that our grandchildren will be paying interest on [and inflation], and all of it in the name of helping a bunch of very rich people." He added: "If I were Wall Street, and the Secretary of the Treasury was giving me billions and billions of dollars, I would be happy too." No wonder Wallstreet responded with a 500 point rise in the Dow. No wonder "Americans hate Wall Street!" (marketwatch.com, March 27, 2009). The bankers and AIG are getting the bailout money and being told to increase their holding capital. With the power of persuasion, the government, Wall Street, and the news are reporting that everything is getting back on track so they can take your hard-earned dollars again.
"Now angry Americans are pressing together and forming a 'TEA' Party movement--TAXED ENOUGH ALREADY! Gingrich in his newsletter dated March 25, 2009, said: "Once again, we see Washington promoting irresponsible spending and expecting responsible taxpayers to foot the bill. Here's what you can do to fight back: On April 15, join your fellow Americans at Tax Day Tea Parties across the nation to say no to the Obama budget...Some Tea Party participants call themselves 'God-fearing patriots,' and it's a good description for the movement that is gaining strength" (A few weeks ago I sent out Gerald Celente's predictions of coming riots and protests in America and David Wilkerson spoke of riots also). Even Chuck Norris is angry and has written a new book called "Blackbelt Patriotism."
In outrage against the billions of our dollars being used to pay for the irresponsible behavior of others, and the trillions more in the Obama budget that will be used to expand government even further into our lives, has Americans ready to revolt. The reason to come to a Tea Party is to let President Obama know that Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner has lost the confidence of the American people and needs to resign (as evidenced by American not buying the Treasury Notes this week).
"The Geithner nomination for Treasury Secretary was tainted from the outset. In the midst of a crisis of trust in our financial institutions and our government institutions, the last person we needed for a Treasury Secretary was a public official who had deliberately failed to pay his taxes," Gingrich said, a member of the Council on Foreign Relation. It appears Rome has its men playing on both sides of the game.
"The Washington Post on March 24, 2009, said: Treasury Secretary Timothy F. Geithner asked Congress today for new regulatory authority for non-bank financial institutions such as insurance giant American International Group in order to 'eliminate gaps in supervision' and avoid destabilizing threats to the nation's financial system." Geithner would determine what financial institutions need to be seized. The chaos is escalating. Just this morning I read that top executives of the countries biggest banks converged on the White House and paid Obama a visit. "The closed-door meeting with the 15 men follows on the heels of Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner's unveiling of a plan for sweeping new 'rules of the game' that seek to expand federal regulatory powers over a broader swath of the financial industry." (marketwatch.com, March 27, 2009). Rush Limbaugh responded by saying: "It is about control and creating chaos. With more chaos, the more we relinquish our freedoms." Rome is creating the crisis and soon they will offer the solution--moralize America, return to the commandments, and implement Sunday laws.
Times are changing. Spy planes are flying over the UK, spying on its own citizens, while the UK Treasury also failed to sell all its government bonds in an auction for the first time since 2002...Analysts said this may reflect concern over the state of the public finances as government borrowing surges." (BBC News, March 25, 2009). The world is in trouble and bailing out Wall Street and the rich bankers isn't going to fix the problem.
You can't buy your way out of debt anymore than you can cure yourself by cutting out cancer. It is a systemic problem! The government and the Vatican are destroying capitalism and this country right before our eyes, and it won't be long before there will be a One World Order. This circus is almost over and the big clown in Rome is about to come into his ring. As I watch the financial fiasco and anger building in America as Wall Street and the Feds "work things out" at the expense of the taxpayers, and the Tea Party Movement trying to stop the onslaught of the Feds and Rome, I wonder if they have any idea that judgment has already begun in heaven, and that it started over 150 years ago? Even if there is another season of "peace and safety," Bible prophecy assures us that "sudden destruction" will follow. (See 1 Thess. 5:3).
While I was looking at the The Patriot radio station online, and emailing them for the soundbite of Newt Gingrich, I also prayed and asked God to open a way for me to be on The Patriot radio station. The next morning, March 25, 2009, Rob Johnson, the morning announcer, called me and asked why I wanted the soundbite for Gingrich? I told him who I was and about my work in health and Bible prophecy. He recognized my name from my TV infomercial, and we had a good talk. I also told him about my new book, The Final Inquisition, Pope Benedict XVI and the number 666. He answered: "We have more in common than you think." I will be in touch with you and have you on my radio show. Here is my cell phone number..." Later I received an email from Rob with the soundbites and a note that said: "What a surprise to learn that you are nearby. I appreciate the good work you do, both in the Kingdom and in the field of health. I hope we will have the opportunity to work together in some capacity." Praise God for answered prayer--and so quickly too!
Last week I spoke on the judgments of God coming to certain major cites like New York, Chicago, and San Francisco. Here is one more prophecy I want to share with you: "San Francisco and Oakland are becoming as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the Lord will visit them. Not far hence they will suffer under His judgments. The terrible earthquake that has visited San Francisco will be followed by other manifestations of the power of God. His law has been transgressed. Cities have become polluted with sin." (Last Day Events, p. 114).
While the Tea Party movement is forming for demonstration in cities across America on April 15, I thought about another movement that was formed years ago in the 1800's. It was a group of Christians from various denominations that were looking for the coming of Christ. They were called the Advent people. They gave a very special message to prepare people for the coming of Christ and His return in 1844. The scripture they used to support their position was Daniel 8:14: "Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed." They eventually got the date right, but misinterpreted the prophecy and its fulfillment by applying it to the destruction of the earth by fire when Jesus comes the second time. They said the termination of the 2300-day/year prophecy was 1844 and the "sanctuary", or earth, would then "be cleansed" by fire and the wicked would be destroyed.
But the Lord did not appear in 1844, and they suffered a great disappointment. The Advent people turned again to their Bibles to find their mistake. They found that there was no scripture evidence that the earth was the sanctuary, but did find an explanation of the sanctuary, including its purpose, location, and services. Turning to the Book of Hebrews and the words of the Apostle Paul:
"Then verily the first covenant had also ordinances of divine service, and a worldly sanctuary. For there was a tabernacle made; the first [the holy place], wherein was the candlestick, and the table, and the showbread; which is called the sanctuary. And after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of all [the most holy place]; Which had the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein was the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron's rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant; And over it the cherubims of glory shadowing the mercyseat." (Hebrews 9:1-5).
"The sanctuary to which Paul here refers was the tabernacle built by Moses at the command of God as the earthly dwelling place of the Most High: "Let them build me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them." (Exodus 25:8).
"....The tabernacle built by Moses was made after a pattern. The Lord directed him: "According to all that I show thee, after the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all the instruments thereof, even so shall ye make it." "And...make them after their pattern, which was showed thee in the mount." (Exodus 25:9, 40). And Paul says that the first tabernacle "was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices;" that its holy places were "patterns of things in the heavens;" that the priests who offered gifts according to the law served "unto the example and shadow of heavenly things," and that "Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us." Hebrews 9:9, 23; 8:5; 9:24." (The Great Controversy, p. 413).
So, there is a sanctuary in heaven which served as a pattern for the earthly tabernacle that Moses built. "The sanctuary in heaven, in which Jesus ministers in our behalf, is the great original, of which the sanctuary built by Moses was a copy....The holy places of the sanctuary in heaven are represented by the two apartments in the sanctuary on earth. As in vision the apostle John was granted a view of the temple of God in heaven, he beheld there 'seven lamps of fire burning before the throne.' (Revelation 4:5). He saw an angel 'having a golden sensor; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.' (Revelation 8:3). Here the prophet was permitted to behold the first apartment of the sanctuary in heaven...Again, 'the temple of God was opened' (Revelation 11:19), and he looked within the inner veil, upon the holy of holies. Here he beheld 'the ark of the His testament,' represented by the sacred chest constructed by Moses to contain the law of God.
"Thus those who were studying the subject found indisputable proof of the existence of a sanctuary in heaven. Moses made the earthly sanctuary after a pattern which was shown him. Paul teaches that that pattern was the true sanctuary which is in heaven. And John testifies that he saw it in heaven." (Ibid., pp. 414, 415).
The earthly sanctuary was to teach the Israelites about the future redemptive work of Jesus, the Savior, Who would come. The sanctuary, its furniture, and the sacrifice all point to Jesus and the plan of salvation.
- The lamb - He is the Lamb of God "which taketh away the sin of the world." (John 1:29).
- The sacrifice - We are saved by the "sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ." (1 Peter 1:2). Christ has given Himself for us "an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savor." (Eph. 5:2).
- The burnt offering - "We are sanctified, through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all." (Heb. 10:10).
- The drink offering - Christ "poured out his blood unto death." (Isa 53:12).
- The laver - Christ is a "well of water springing up into everlasting life." John 4:14.
- The showbread - "The bread of God is He which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world." (John 6:33).
- The candlestick - "I am the light of the world." (John 9:5).
- The High Priest - The antitypical "high priest, that is passed into the heavens, [is] Jesus the Son of God. (Hebrews 4:14). "That He might sanctify and cleanse it [the church]with the washing of water by the Word, That He might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish." Eph. 5:26, 27).
What, then, is the "cleansing of the sanctuary" and how does it tie to judgment?" In 1844, the Advent movement was heralding the first angel's message:
"The hour of His judgment is come." (Rev. 14:6).
The apostle Paul spoke of a judgment to come (Acts 24:25), but the Advent movement was bearing the message that the "hour of His judgment is come." The Advent people later learned the 2300-day/year prophecy did not apply to the destruction, or "cleansing" of the earth by fire, but to the beginning of the judgment (the cleansing of the sanctuary) in heaven, before Christ comes, and every case will be decided for eternal life or eternal death. In Daniel 7:9, 10, 13 we read:
"I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days [the Father] did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire.
"A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened."
"I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man [Jesus] came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days [the Father], and they brought him near before him."
Daniel the prophet, in vision, saw movement in heaven. He saw the Ancient of Days, God the Father, on a fiery throne with "wheels as burning fire," move to another location in heaven and then joined by His Son. Daniel saw this change in Christ's ministry in the heavenly temple, the true sanctuary, and the opening of the judgment hour while men and nations on earth were still following the even tenor of their ways, all unconscious that the Court in High Heaven had opened session [as do the Feds, President Obama, and the Tea Party], and the hour of His judgment had come before the coming of our Lord the second time.
Do not confuse this judgment scene with the final judgment day, the great day of wrath that follows a thousand years after Christ's coming (see Rev 20). Therefore, as the solemn hour of the investigative judgment opens in heaven, God sends the message of the first angel (God's messengers) in 1844 to warn the world to prepare for Christ' coming by cleansing their souls from sin.
"The coming of Christ here described is not His second coming to the earth. He comes to the Ancient of Days in [the heavenly sanctuary]...to receive dominion and glory and a kingdom, which will be given Him at the close of His work as a mediator. It is this coming, and not His second advent to the earth, that was foretold in prophecy to take place at the termination of the 2300 days in 1844. Attended by heavenly angels, our great High Priest enters the holy of holies and there appears in the presence of God to engage in the last acts of His ministration in behalf of man--to perform the work of investigative judgment and to make an atonement for all who are shown to be entitled to its benefits.
"In the typical service only those who had come before God with confession and repentance, and whose sins, through the blood of the sin offering, were transferred to the sanctuary, had a part in the service of the Day of Atonement. So in the great day of final atonement and investigative judgment the only cases considered are those of the professed people of God. The judgment of the wicked is a distinct and separate work, and takes place at a later period. 'Judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel?' (1 Peter 4:17).
"The books of record in heaven, in which the names and the deeds of men are registered, are to determine the decisions of the judgment. Says the prophet Daniel: 'The judgment was set, and the books were opened.' The revelator, describing the same scene, adds: 'Another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.' Revelation 20:12. (Ibid, p. 480).
"The cleansing of the sanctuary, in the typical service of the earthly tabernacle, or sanctuary, was the last phase of the ministry of the high priest. In the Levitical ministry, on the last day of the yearly round of service, the high priest entered the most holy place with the blood of the sin offering. All through the year, the sinner would confess his sins over the sacrifice at the door of the sanctuary. The sacrificial lamb was his substitute, dying in his place. The blood of the offerings, figuratively bearing the sins, had been ministered by the priests day by day in the holy place or first apartment of the sanctuary, before the second veil. But on the tenth day of the seventh month, the last day of the yearly round, the high priest entered the most holy place, or second apartment, with the blood of the offering, and the sanctuary was cleansed from the sins of the people. (See Leviticus 16).
"Now, when the time of the cleansing of the sanctuary from all this record came, on the last day of the yearly ministry, it was a miniature day of judgment in Israel. Every man's life came in solemn review that day. Whoever was not found right with God, as that cleansing of the sanctuary was finished, lost his part with the Lord's people:
'Whatsoever soul it be that shall not be afflicted in that same day, he shall cut off from among the people.' (Lev. 23:29).
"That 'tenth day of the seventh month' was called the 'day of atonement.' It was indeed a day of judgment in Israel. 'So awful was the day of atonement that we are told in a Jewish book of ritual that the very angels run to and fro in fear and trembling, saying, 'Lo! the day of judgment has come.' (The Early Days of Christianity, p. 38).
"The service of the priests on earth was a type of the ministry of our High Priest, Jesus, in the true sanctuary above, the heavenly temple. There, by His own blood He entered, ever living to make intercession for us. The last phase of Christ's ministry just before His coming to this earth, must likewise be a work of judgment. It is a review of the heavenly record, corresponding to the ministry in the second apartment of the earthly tabernacle on that last day of the Levitical service when the sanctuary was cleansed. The great antitypical day of atonement must come, deciding every case for eternity." (Spicer, Certainties of the Advent Movement, p.122).
The sure word of prophecy foretold the time when the judgment hour would begin. When the hour came, the movement came proclaiming the message, "The hour...is come!" The beginning of the judgment-hour message is fixed by the longest time prophecy of the scriptures in the eighth chapter of the Book of Daniel.

Many people sense something stupendous is about to break upon this world, which the prophet Daniel rightly called "a time of trouble."But most people do not know that the coming crisis will include a final Inquisition--a time when Commandment-keeping Christians will be punished as heretics. Is such a thing possible? Does the Book of Revelation warn of a coming decree where violators of religious laws will be punished?
