The Power of Natural Remedies for Children

Hot dogs

 Dear Friends:

I am thankful that my five children have never been to the doctor for illness, other that one one time for a diagnosis. In fact, I never knew of the doctor visit until later, since it was done without my knowledge.
I do believe doctors are necessary at times for diagnosis and broken bones and other crisis conditions, but none of my children ever had a "well-baby check-up." I figured why do I need to take my healthy child to the doctor anyway. I think this is a ploy to get them dependent on doctors for their health care at a very early age. It is business.
If my children get sick, in most cases they know what to do. As hard as we try to stay well, occasionally they get the beginnings of a sore throat or a cold. But, I have never seen any of them get the flu. Fevers are very rare, and they know what to do for themselves if they do start to get sick, even Talia who is age 10. I taught them to immediately take action and beat the illness using herbs and other natural remedies.
VACCINATIONS:  First, let me say that none of the children were vaccinated. My mother's Italian physician agreed with me and told the worried grandmother, "In Italy we do not believe in shooting germs into people." I never heard another word about it.
VEGAN DIET: They also have been raised vegan. That means they never drink milk or eat animal foods. No, they have never tasted chicken or beef. They cannot succumb to eating the carcass of a dead animal. They loathe the thought of it.
PLENTY OF ORGANIC PRODUCE: No vaccinations, no animal food, but plenty of organic fruits and vegetables. I try to buy organic foods only because regular produce is filled with pesticides and chemicals.
NO SUGAR, SODAS, OR JUNK FOOD: My children are not perfect, but they know the dangers of sugar and junk food. The main thing about sugar is that it weakens their body's ability to fight off bacteria and infection. It slows the white blood cells down from doing their job to keep your child well. Candy bars should be outlawed! I see fat children with their fat parents. No apology!
   GOD'S LAWS OF HEALTH:
My five children have been taught about God's laws of health since their youngest years: nutrition, exercise, lots of water, plenty of sunshine, temperance or self control, fresh air, rest, and trust in divine power. Trusting in God and praying to Him is vital for His sustaining power to keep us all well.
NATURAL REMEDIES AND HERBS INSTEAD OF DRUGS: My five children always use natural approaches instead of pharmaceutical drugs and medicines--it is nothing new for them. They have also been trained and educated from their youngest years on the power of natural remedies like charcoal, colloidal silver, grapefruit seed extract, Vitamin C, herbs, etc.
TAKE ACTION AT THE FIRST SIGN OF SYMPTOMS: Most important they know to take action at the first sign of symptoms, no matter how mild it may seem.  I have taught them to get on it at the first sign of symptoms, even if it is a little scratch in the throat. If you hit it then, it is easier to ward off a more serious illness.
CHARCOAL: They use charcoal which has the ability to absorb many times its weight in toxic matter. It is used for many types of poisoning, even a basic upset stomach. They like the tablets and chew them up or they will mix one-half teaspoon of charcoal powder in water and drink.
CHILDREN'S GLYCERITE: One of the best herbal remedies they use is called Children's Glycerite. It is a blend of herbs like echinacea, golden seal, mullein, and cherry bark so it is good to boost their immune system and help with respiratory complaints like colds and cough. It stimulates the immune system and has antibiotic properties without destroying the healthy flora of the gut.
GARLIC: Garlic is great for earaches. They know how to cut the end of a clove off to expose the fresh garlic. They leave the skin on the rest of the clove so it won't burn them They put the end of the clove that has been cut into the ear canal and leave it their for an hour or two. Make sure this is the whole clove, not a small piece, so it doesn't get stuck in the ear canal. An onion cut in half and warmed and then placed on the ear also has wonderful anti-biotic properties.
My children know garlic is a great antibiotic and good for sore throats. Chop a clove into small pieces and then place the pieces in about four ounces of water and swish it around and drink it straight down. Follow this with a glass of water to dilute the garlic and prevent an upset stomach. If the child is very young, Kyolic makes a liquid garlic that they like. It is easier to take and effective. Do not buy Kyolic in capsules or tablets since is does not contain allicin, the phytochemical that is so effective as an antibiotic. One of the major breakthroughs in the research of garlic study was the discovery of allicin (al-e-sin) in 1944 by an Italian Chemist, C.J. Cavallito. Allicin is the principle biological active compound of garlic and scientific evidence suggest that allicin is responsible for the many health benefits associated with garlic.
GRAPEFRUIT SEED EXTRACT - They also use grapefruit seed extract if they feel a sore throat coming on. 15 drops in a little water and gargle. Also, mix a few drops in orange juice to drink to kill e-coli. Also good for staph and strep.
TEA TREE OIL: They use Tea tree Oil as an antiseptic.
   ENEMAS:
Occasionally, one of the children will take an enema if they feel a fever or chills beginning. They do this on their own and know well the power of an enema.
Let me share a story. Once when my daughter Giana was 5, (I am sure she will appreciate me sharing this story) after we had eaten lunch at some friends house, she got 105 fever. The food served was filled with dairy products and she had never eaten such things. We ate it to be polite, but immediately learned we had made a mistake. I rushed her home and called one of my mentors, Mary Digitale. This was my first child and I was scared. Mary told me what to do. Immediately give her a cool enema with catnip in it. Also to give her a cool sponge bath. This made sense because it would cool her down internally and externally.
After the sponge bath in cool water, not cold, I took one of those blue mucus-sucking baby bulbs and filled it with the enema liquid of water and cayenne, I mean catnip, and after lubricating the tip, I gently inserted it into her anus. I gently squeezed the contents into her and she smiled. A few applications and the fever dropped to 100.5 from 105 in minutes.
REGULARITY: Avoid constipation. My children know the importance of a high-fiber diet and drinking enough water. try to encourage them to eat the fruits and vegetables and to drink a few glasses of water a day. Prunes and prune juice are great for constipation, but check to see if they are having regular bowel movements. My children will take some Bowel Formula #1 if needed to help sluggish bowl movements. They rarely take it, but know where the bottle is in case they need help.
HUG YOUR CHILD AND LAUGH: Yesterday, I played baseball with two of my girls that asked me to. At first, I thought of typing this newsletter, but I decided they were more important. Fathers, don't neglect your children, they need you, especially the girls. After we played for an hour, they thanked me over and over. I heard their hearts and was so glad I decided to type the next day. And tell them you love them everyday. They want to heat that more than you know. Emotion needs are as important as every thing in this article, if not more important. Show them Jesus in you!

Remember, I am not a doctor and cannot prescribe. But I can share what I do for myself or what my children do for themselves.
Consult your physician before using any of these remedies and watch him laugh!

THE FIRST ANGELS' MESSAGE

Greetings!

Have you ever studied the Bible verses that mention three angels' flying swiftly from heaven to the earth?  Who do these angels represent, and what are their messages?  And, furthermore, do these messages have any application to God's people living in the end of time?
"And I saw another angel [first angel] fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,
"Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.
"And there followed another angel [second angel], saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.
"And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive [his] mark in his forehead, or in his hand,
"The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
"And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.
"Here is the patience of the saints: here [are] they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus." (Revelation 14:6-12).
Did you notice anything unique about the messages of the three angels? For example, the first angel presents the "everlasting gospel (the only time the gospel is presented as the "everlasting gospel" in the Bible)," a warning to worship the creator God Who made everything, and a warning that His "judgement IS come." Or, perhaps, the message of the second angel who announces the fall of  spiritual "Babylon," because she has intoxicated or deceived the world with her wine (false doctrines) and has committed spiritual fornication with "all nations." Or, perhaps, the message of the third angel who gives the most serious warning in all the Bible--not to receive the "mark" of the "beast" and the consequence of eternal damnation." Lastly, the fact that the warning proclamation of the third angel concludes with a description of those that have gotten the victory over the beast as commandment-keepers who have "the faith of Jesus."  Friends, the three angel's messages proclaim warning, after warning, after warning!!!
Before we study these verses, phrase by phrase, in order to understand their true meaning, let us read the words of one inspired writer as to the importance of these messages. God has set in the world "watchmen and light-bearers. To them has been entrusted the last warning for a perishing world. On them is shining wonderful light from the Word of God. They have been given a work of the most solemn import,--the proclamation of the first, second, and third angels' messages. There is no other work of so great importance. They are to allow nothing else to absorb their attention." Testimonies to the Church, vol. 9, pp. 19, 20, (1909).
Another vital point I want to make before we study the three angels' messages is that the Bible says this is the "Revelation of Jesus Christ," which He showed to His servant John, that "must shortly come to pass." (See Revelation 1:1). Verse two of chapter one promises a blessing to the reader of Revelation who "hears" and "keeps those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand."  So, Jesus, and the pen of inspiration, agree this soon-to-be-fulfilled prophecy is the most important message ever entrusted to human beings!
Now let us begin with the first angel's messages which says:

"And I saw an angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people." (Rev. 14:6).

First of all, the "I" in this text refers to John, one of the Apostles of Christ, who was exiled to the Island of Patmos. At the time of his seeing this angel "fly in the midst of Heaven," he was in vision, and has been shown many symbols which he has recorded in the Book of Revelation. Here he sees an angel, a symbol of a messenger of God--flying swiftly from heaven to the earth bearing a message of vital importance for everyone living on the earth. The angel represents God's messengers in the last days, his saints, engaged in the task of proclaiming the everlasting gospel, with earnestness, because the "judgment is come."  I say "his saints" because Revelation presents the 144.000 who have the Father's name written in their foreheads, and this is their message. (See Revelation 14:1-5). As we study, please remember that Revelation 14 is God's answer to the crisis happening in Revelation 13, where the world is worshipping and "wondering" after the beast. (See Rev. 13:3, 4).
The area of flight through the "midst of heaven" indicates the world-wide work of God's messengers. They are seen preaching or proclaiming the most solemn message ever entrusted to morals "to every nation" on the earth. The first angel gives the message of the "everlasting gospel" in connection with the  JUDGMENT HOUR message.  This is because we all have sinned  and desperately need the cleansing blood of Christ which is applied by faith.  That is why the gospel message of salvation that John heard is being preached all over the world in a most urgent manner-- because judgment is on!!  If you doubt that, please read Jesus' words in Revelation 22:12-14: "Behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me (He must have already reviewed heaven's records), to give every man according as his work shall be. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.  Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city."  Please, understand that the messages of the three angels' preceed the second coming of Christ indicating a pre-advent judgment which will be discussed later in more detail.
Let us briefly look at some verses in regards to the gospel. The Bible says: "I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth." (Romans 1:16a).  The dictionary tells us that salvation means "being saved from sin and it's consequences."  Friends, Who is able to save us from sin and eternal death?  Since everyone has sinned and fallen short of the glory or character of God, everyone needs a Savior.  That is why we so desperately need Jesus!  "Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant (Heb. 13:20)," "hath made me free from the law of sin and death." There is only One Who can save us from sin and eternal damnation, and "his name [is] JESUS: for He shall save his people from their sins." (Matt. 1:21).
The gospel, therefore, is the good news of salvation from sin and it's condemnation--death!  In fact, the only Bible definition of sin is the following: "Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is transgression of the law [the Ten Commandments]." (1 John 3:4).  And what are the consequences of disobeying God's commandments?  "The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23).
The everlasting gospel (Rev. 14:6) is the good news of the everlasting covenant (Heb. 13:20) that promises everlasting life (John 3:16) from am everlasting God (Romans 16:26)! "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved." (John 3:16, 17). "Wherefore He is able also to save them to the uttermost that come into God by Him, seeing He liveth to make intercession for them." (Hebrews 7:25). The Scriptures elsewhere speak of the "glorious gospel (2 Cor. 4:4; 1 Tim. 1:11), but only here, in the first angel's message, is the word "everlasting" used in connection with the gospel of grace. There is but one gospel to save us, and it will continue ("everlasting") as long as there are men and women to be saved. There never will be another gospel.
Friends, this includes you!  "And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely." (Revelation 22:17). And when does this happen?  The answer is NOW! You can come to Jesus right now and surrender your sin-stained heart to Him and receive Him as your personal Savior. This is another reason why it is called the "everlasting" gospel--because God's love for you is everlasting!
The plan of salvation was not an after-thought of God.  It was devised by a Supreme Being that knows the end from the beginning.  If sin would ever raise its ugly head at any time, the Creator of the universe had a well-devised plan to meet it once and for all. "The Son of God, heaven's glorious Commander, was touched with pity for the fallen race. His heart was moved with infinite compassion as the woes of the lost world rose up before Him. But divine love had conceived a plan whereby man might be redeemed. The broken law of God demanded the life of the sinner. In all the universe there was but One who could, in behalf of man, satisfy its claims. Since the divine law is as sacred as God Himself, only one equal with God could make atonement for its transgression. None but Christ could redeemfallen man from the curse of the law and bring him again into harmony with Heaven. Christ would take upon Himself the guilt and shame of sin--sin so offensive to a holy God that it must separate the Father and His Son. Christ would reach to the depths of misery to rescue the ruined race...But "God so loved the world, that He gave His only-begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16. Oh, the mystery of redemption! the love of God for a world that did not love Him! Who can know the depths of that love which "passeth knowledge"? Through endless ages immortal minds, seeking to comprehend the mystery of that incomprehensible love, will wonder and adore. (Patriarchs and Prophets, p. 63).  The first angel continues:

"Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to Him..." (Rev. 14:7).

The "loud voice" indicates that the message is both urgent and will be proclaimed so that all may hear. It embraces the importance of the message. To "Fear God" doesn't mean to be afraid of God, but it is used in the sense of coming to Him in reverence and awe. It conveys the thought of absolute loyalty to God and a total surrender to His will.
We also learn we fear God by obeying Him: "That thou mightest fear the LORD thy God, to keep all his statutes and his commandments, which I command thee, thou, and thy son, and thy son's son, all the days of thy life; and that thy days may be prolonged." "Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this [is] the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil." (Deut. 6:2; Eccl. 12:13, 14).
This is interesting! For we see that this first angel also speaks about God's Judgment. So, we must not only believe in Jesus Christ, but we must also fear God and this is done by obeying His commandments. Remember, the third angel concludes with a godly description of those that have gotten the victory over the beast as commandment-keepers who have the "faith of Jesus" indicating they believe and obey God.  However, the angel also tells us to do something else:

"And give glory to Him..." (Rev. 14:7).

What does it mean to give glory to God? God Himself tells us what His glory is: "I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back: bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the earth; Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him." (Isa. 43:6, 7). Also on Mount Sinai, Moses asked God to show him His glory: "And he said, I beseech thee, show me thy glory. And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy on whom I will show mercy." (Ex. 33: 18, 19). And, after instructing Moses to make "two tables of stone [the Ten Commandments]" like unto the first (Ex. 34:1),"  the Lord "descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD.
"And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth,
     "Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear [the guilty];
visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth [generation].
"And Moses made haste, and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshipped." (Ex. 34:5-8).
So would it be fair to say that from the above texts that God's glory is His name and character? When Moses directly asked God to show Him His glory, He showed him His character! You see, God's law expresses God's character of love in ten principles, and since we have been created for His glory (Isa. 43:7), God wants to write his law in your heart and mind through the miracle of the New Covenant (see Heb. 8:10) and the power of the Holy Spirit! We give glory to God by revealing His character to others. That is why the 144,000 are depicted as having the "Father's name [or character] written in their foreheads." (Rev. 14:1).
But why do we need to "Fear God" by keeping His commandments anyway? Isn't only believing in Him enough? No, it is not, and the angel goes on to say:

"...for the hour of His judgment is come..." (Rev. 14:7).

The Apostle Paul spoke of a "judgment to come (Acts 24:24)," but John is shown that the "judgment is come (Rev. 14:14)!"  Also, remember in Ecclesiastes 12:13, 14, the Bible says: "Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
"For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil."

TO BE CONTINUED.
