Greetings!
It's February, which means that winter is more or less half-way over! Punxsutawney Phil did not see his shadow on Groundhog Day: which means only six more weeks of winter. Whether you are a fan of the white stuff or not, February is full of promise. The days are gradually getting longer, and with Valentine's Day just around the corner we have the perfect opportunity to show some love. Here at the SunriseGuide, we've been thinking about how much we love Maine even during these wintry days of February. Here's a (brief) list of some of the things we love: waking up to a brilliant blue sky the morning after a fierce snowstorm, cross-country skiing out the front door, and catching up on reading and knitting and other cozy indoor pursuits. What would you add to our list? We hope you are enjoying the snow!

Made With the Wind
Businesses Show Their Commitment
to Sustainability with New WindMade Label
As conscious consumers, we ask a lot of questions about the products we buy. But there's an important question that is often overlooked: Was this product made using clean energy? A lot goes into creating and distributing the products we use in our lives. It's now standard practice to look for the labels on packaging to find out if our soap or new t-shirt is made with recycled, organic, animal friendly, or fair trade materials. The new WindMade logo helps consumers know quickly which products were made with wind power. Look for the logo and use your consumer power to promote sustainability!
