Wine Tasting at Sherborn Out

Nestled on our spacious grounds, our converted carriage house is home to The Sherborn Out. The Out carries a selection of more than 500 wines, gourmet specialty foods and cheeses, fresh baked breads, microbrews and specialty craft beers, and a wide range of liquors and spirits. Each day we also create fresh salads, soups and sandwiches, along with a variety of meals to take home.

We'll be joined by Gina Mannello of Ruby Wine this week for our tasting. She'll have the brand new wines of Charles Smith.

Jay Miller of The Wine advocate wrote of Charles Smith, "He is an innovator, marketing genius, outspoken, you name it - but above all the man is a brilliant winemaker who knows where all the great fruit is hidden. This Weeks Wines

Kung Fu Girl Riesling

The grapes used in Charles Smith's "Kung Fu Girl" Riesling are harvested from a single rocky vineyard, resulting in a wine with lush aromatics and tons of flavor. On the nose, Kung Fu Girl is bursting with Asian pear, white peach and spring flowers. Apricot, pear, lime, and a pleasant minerality keep this off-dry wine at the perfect level of subtle sweetness. This is a great wine for a summer picnic.
