Monday Nights at the Sherborn Inn Cooking Classes & Beverage Pairings Join us on selected Monday nights this spring for informal cooking classes, wine pairings and all around fun. Classes start in the Main Dining Room of the Inn at 6:30 and run until about 9:00. All classes are $45.00 including tax and tip. Buy the whole series for $200.00! We'll cook and sample all the menu items, drink the appropriate wines, cocktails or beer and give you recipe cards to go home with. I promise you won't go away hungry!
The Art of the Cocktail Party, April 6th, 6:30 Learn how to make a variety of hor d'ouerves and stationary appetizers. crostinis, canapés & fondues. This class is designed to cook for someone you love. I hope to see a lot of men at this class because many women find cooking sexy. We'll be focusing on a simple well-prepared meal inspired by aphrodisiac foods. Simple salad of Mesclun greens with homemade vinaigrette, tuna tartare with sesame soy vinaigrette, Sautéed Medallions of Beef Tenderloin with Shrimp & Cognac Sauce, Flourless Chocolate Cake with Gold Leaf. A presentation and demonstration of delicious and heart healthy seafood dishes and some great whites to pair up with. We'll start with a simple oyster presentation and tuna tartar, move on to an easy scampi recipe and finish with the freshest fish our seafood Purveyor can deliver. We'll talk about where to get the best and freshest seafood as well as a few buying tips.
Classic Northern Italian Menu, May 18th, 6:30 Learn to make assorted crostinis, fonduta with white truffle and grilled bread, braised beef short ribs with barolo wine over creamy polenta and finish it off with a simple cheese plate with poached fruits. Summer Grill Tutorial, June 1st, 6:30
Hardwood vs. Briquettes vs. Gas Will be talking marinades and grilling technique, featuring wings, flank steak and shrimp. We'll also feature a couple of easy make a head salads, I'll be sharing my soon to be world famous Sangria recipe and Mike will introduce some great wine buys for summer quaffing. If we get some nice weather we'll be doing this class outside on the patio.
