The Sherborn OUT
Chateau Lamothe De Haux, Bordeaux Blanc A white Bordeaux made mainly from Sauvignon Blanc grapes blended with Semillion and Muscadelle. Nice pale yellow color, intense with fresh smell of grapefruit and tropical fruits. In the mouth, the wine is well balanced, with intense aromas of pear and citrus.

Girasole Organic Pinot Noir
This Organic Pinot Noir from Mendocino had long been one of my favorites for the money. Light ruby in color with delicate, yet vibrant aromas and flavors of candied cherry, strawberry, cola and red licorice. The oak aromas are balanced with flavors of hazelnut, smoke and spice. This medium bodied Pinot Noir packs quite a punch of fruit and spice flavors.

Summers "Adrianna Cuvee" Cabernet
Since meeting Jim Summers a few years back I've quickly become a huge fan of this tiny little winery in Napa Valley. This wine, named after his daughter, is probably my favorite wine Napa Cab's under $50, never mind under $25.

Borgo di Colloredo Biferno Rosso
Borgo di Colloredo's "top of the line" red, this a blend of Montepulciano and Aglianico (about 80%/20%) from nearly 40-yr-old vines reminds one of a $50 Bordeaux at half the price. It opens with bright red fruits, followed by spice and earthiness, and is rich and smooth in the mouth. Beautifully structured, with a lively acidity that makes it a perfect complement for food despite its underlying seriousness.
