More than ever before we live in an interactive electronic world and the Cherry Creek Arts Festival has creative new ways to literally BE A PART OF ART. These programs are part of this year's theme of "Things you wouldn't believe" and our year-round mission to provide a broad array of arts experiences and to support art education. We encourage everyone to interact with art in two fun ways:
1) VOTING to help bring art to schools
2) Participate in a SHOCKING interactive work of art by featured guest artist Phil Hansen.

After relocating to Chattanooga, John quickly made friends with the "local urban archeologist" Greg Ross. Last year a building was being demolished in downtown, and the wrecking ball failed so Greg had a few hours to salvage what he could. He happened upon some dusty boxes, and after taking one look inside at the pristine shoe size tags, he knew exactly what to do with them. He sprung into the studio, grinning ear to ear like a little child trying to contain his excitement. He presented fifteen gray/green boxes that were extremely fragile after being stored for over 50 years and were covered in soot from a coal fired heater. John immediately knew they would look perfect with bright red bottle caps. The result is a very whimsical schoolgirl dress.

2011 JURIED ARTISTS
The 2011 Arts Festival will feature 230 exhibitors. This year's artists were selected from over 2,100 applications, making acceptance competitive throughout the jury process.
Artistic excellence of original, handcrafted work is the sole criteria for selection of exhibitors.
