Gone DivingJuly 2010
Tour de Forts Header
Join us for 3 monthly camping and diving adventures. At the end of July, August and September we will be traveling to local Forts in our area to camp out, dive and just have a plain good time. Divers and non-divers are welcomed. Lots of fun things to do with your family and friends besides just scuba diving.

Salt Creek, Camp Hayden: July 30, 31st and August 1st. Camping at Crescent Beach and RV Park. I did not see enough availability for Salt Creek County Park. This is our favorite and most popular dive excursions. If you have not been, come. If you have been, come. Good times. Diving here is at the Salt Creek County Park, Crescent Lake and any other adventures that may be found.

Keystone, Fort Casey: August 27-29th. Camping sites are located next to the Keystone Ferry terminal. All are first-come, first-serve basis. Diving here is at Keystone, Coopville Tire Reef or Langley Marina.

Port Townsend, Fort Townsend: September 25-27th. Camping sites are located just south of Port Townsend on Sims Way/Hwy 20. Diving here is at Fort Wardon, downtown Port Townsend and possible some new spots.

Camping and diving, what more needs to be said. You must make your own camping reservations. Call or email if you have any questions. Some people come down on Thursday the night before to enjoy a relaxing three day weekend. If you would like suggestions for B&Bs, Inn's or Hotel, please let us know.

Rescue Class: August 3rd, Tuesday: Classroom @ 6:30pm. Pool and Open Water TBD at classroom session.

Every diver should know how to respond in an emergency, but the primary benefit of this class is that it will teach you to be responsible for your own safety. Diving accidents are often predictable, therefore avoidable, if divers and dive professionals use their common sense and basic dive training. You must be First Aid/CPR certified, have logged 20 dives and be an advanced rated diver in good health. There is a pool session and one day of open water dives, which will be decided upon at the orientation meeting. Books must be picked up and knowledge reviews need to be compelted before the first day of classroom on August 3rd, Tuesday.

Specialty Classes*

Dry Suit Speciality: August 26th, Thursday @ 6:30pm
Have you been wanting to get your dry suit certification? One day in the pool for an orientation dive, and then we go on an open water dive. This is a great class to get introduced to diving in the Pacific Northwest if you are new to the area. The open water dive will be determined on pool session night for the following weekend.

Enriched Air (Nitrox) Specialty: July 20th Tuesday @ 6:30pm
Designed to qualify recreational divers to use enriched air "nitrox" (EANx) for no stop recreational diving. The program addresses the use of enriched air with 22 to 40 percent oxygen, with emphasis on nitrox with 32 and 36 percent oxygen. This class is just one night of classroom learning! Must have your books and DVD watched and completed before the night of classroom. Next class August 24th.

*These two are our most common specialties that are held every month. We have other specialties being offered.
