Keeper Tips
A skillful soccer goalie in your team can make a huge
difference in winning or losing games. The position of the goalie is
the dichotomy of the team. It can be both fun and exciting. The ultimate goal of the goalie is to stop scores.
Pulling The Ball Tightly Into The Body
Train
the goalie in a way that she should pull the ball tightly into the body
when catching the ball. It is always a great idea to cuddle the ball on
the ground and keep the body in front of the ball.
This way,
the shins, knees and feet will also help stop the ball. This method
carries bucketful of advantages. For example, the number of injured
hands and fingers by over ambitious opponents will be significantly
reduced.
Handling The Ball Effectively When it
comes to handling the ball effectively, the goalie could use this hand position: the W (shown below). Keep your
watchful eyes open and observe the activities the goalie. Don't trap the ball between the hands like catching a fly, rather have the ball meet your hands.

Autumn Yard Work
Tips to Take the Pitfalls Out of Fall!
As the leaves start to fall and people grab their rakes for outdoor
cleanup, the risk of yard work accidents increases. Back injuries, tumbles from
ladders and lawn mower accidents are just a few of the hazards.
Even seemingly routine tasks such as lifting a leaf bag or reaching for a rake
can result in aches and pains, a trip to the doctor, and even chronic injury.
Keep the pitfalls out of fall yard work this season by following a few of these
safety precautions we found on the web.
As always, please contact us for a free consultation if you do encounter
aches or pains from doing yard work. We
can show you some specific ways to do these activities without straining your

Fields of Play
Injuries on Grass vs. Artificial Turf
Even before the establishment of the Fédération
Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) in 1904, the game of
soccer has been played around the world. Although the rules of the
game today are different than those first written back in 1848, one of
the most interesting changes has been the composition of the field
itself. As cable television continues to expand its coverage of the
sport, the demand for year-round recreational and competitive leagues
throughout the country has rapidly increased. Undoubtedly you have
played a game or been to a practice on a field made of grass. What
about people who play in the desert southwest?
Or, closer to home,
players who are looking to stay competitive in the midst of a
blizzard? Since the 1960's, soccer has also been played both indoor
and outdoor on synthetic fields. While maintaining a grass playing
surface indoors or in arid climates is technically possible, it is also
prohibitively expensive. One of the other original arguments for
synthetic fields over natural ones was the purported increase in safety
for players. Have you ever wondered: is there a difference in my
injury risk on grass as compared to an artificial ................continue article by clicking here!
